After being stuck close to my hotel for 5 days due to business, was able to venture out a bit further on my only day off.

As reported in other posts, establishment has 6 taps. Pours available today included 1 each from Belgium, Denmark, and Germany as well as 3 from the Czech Republic. All 3 domestics were micros including a beer brewed on the premises. Sampled the Czech suds and Danish beer. The micros were unlike typical Czech pilsners.

Food was typical hearty Czech dish (goulash) but less "khaki" in color (and flavor) than other traditional grub I have sampled here.

Very nice bottled beer selection by U.S. standards...AMAZING beer selection by Czech Standards. Worth the trip!

The gem of Prague for BAs. decent size two story bar with the best beer store included that I found in Prague. They have mostly local, regional on tap and about 10 draft selections. i didn't realize czech had so much craft beer until I went there. They also had a decent bottle selection to chose from. Food was way above avg for czech pub cuisine. My wife enjoyed it too because they had some belgian sours and lambics that she likes. overall, this is the bar you need to put first on your list. it wasnt over smokey and the service was really good too.

Having read about this bar before a recent trip to Prague, I decided that it was a must see for any beer lover. I was not disappointed....

A little hard to find and an unassuming exterior. Pivovarsky Klub has 2 levels: a bar/bottle shop on the ground floor and a cellar bar beneath, where I went to have a meal and a couple of brews.The bottle selection wasn't unlimited but featured plenty of uncommon Czech beers and a good selection of Belgian brews. German beers were also represented, and a smattering of other countries. There are 6 taps with rotating beers and a large bottle menu. The food menu isn't vast, but features a range of Czech classics.

It was pretty quiet when I went - I don't know if this is typical for a Sunday evening. The staff were young and friendly, although their grasp of English seemed a bit patchy. I had soup followed by pork knuckle & sourkraut - perfectly decent food but both of these dishes arrived rather promptly and gave the impression of having been sat in the kitchen waiting for a customer. Perhaps that was just because it wasn't busy, but it dispelled the illusion of freshly prepared food. The beer was better - I sampled 2 from the selection on tap: an unfiltered lager from Pivovarský dům and a honey/smoked malt beer (I forget which brewery). Both were delicious.

I thought the pricing for food and beers on tap was very reasonable, particularly for a capital city. Great value by the standards of most places. Some of the imported offerings in the menu were quite pricy - for example they had a couple of Brewdog bottles that were about £4-5 (much more expensive than here in the UK, but that's imports for you).

Overall, a great place to sample some interesting beers that aren't available elsewhere. The bottle selection is also pretty good, especially if you're looking for Czech beers. Definitely worth paying a visit if you're in Prague.

After walking a while (it's kind of hard to find) from our place in the center and then down a random street near the bus station, we finally found Pivovarsky Klub. Upon walking in you can just tell this place is a wonderland of beer. You can hardly even see the walls because they are covered from floor to ceiling in beer bottles and kegs and coolers. The bar has 6 rotating taps, all of which are lesser known or local Czechs (or at least they were when I was there). I wish I could have taken some notes because they were all very good.

But I didn't want to waste too much time analyzing because the whole experience was fantastic. The food was to die for - huge portions but of great quality as well, and the price seemed right as we were a bit outside from the tourist areas. The atmosphere is great - upstairs (the entry level) feels a lot like a beer shop or warehouse with a kind of modern industrial feel and is well lit, and downstairs is another bar with more of a more traditional dim cellar kind of feel. We ate upstairs and ate and drank for a couple of hours, and felt like we could have stayed much longer... The only slight knock was the service, which was typically European, but not too bad all things considered.

Definitely recommended.

This place is really awesome for everyone who loves beer! I mean it. I'm from Czech Republic - Brno, which is about 200km from Prague and each time I go visit Prague I visit Pivovarsky Klub because of the various range of tap and bottled beers. They have on tap the smallest breweries from Czech Republic you can imagine! Sometimes a bit pricey, but who cares if you want a good and fresh tap beer. The range of bottled beers offered is unbelievable. I recommend this place to all beer lovers! The food is also very good.

Visited twice on a recent visit to Prague. Had dinner there with family one night and then stopped in for a beer the following afternoon while passing through the neighborhood.

Easy to get to, right near the Florenc metro stop and bus station. There is no reason not to find this place if visiting. Food was traditional Czech but tasty. Service was prompt, polite, friendly, helpful.

The beer selection is great -- I enjoy pilsners and think Pilsner Urquell is as good as industrial beer gets, but still this is a city where quantity is king over selection. What a treat it is to get to try Czech micro brews in a comfortable, friendly spot. We tried all of their selections and particularly liked the Rocket India Black Ale and the Regent unfiltered pale lager.

Here and Klasterni Pivovar make great reasons to drink in Prague.

What a joy it was to finally get to this place. Not that Czech beer is bad, but for the most part it doesn't diverge far from the Pilsner. I know that there are some exceptions, I wasn't able to focus on beer as much as I wanted to during this trip.

Walking in, I saw 4 standard Sierra Nevada brews, and a bunch of other non-Czech beers staring at me. Lots of Germans, the above mentioned American, and plenty of Belgian, including most of the Trappists. There were others too, like BrewDog. I had the Hardcore IPA from BrewDog. I don't know what the count on the selection is, but it was way better than anywhere else in the country, so I am scoring it high based on the challenges of sourcing foreign brews.

They had plenty of lesser known Czech beers from around the country. There were 6 taps, which is double what most Czech bars have. I had a Primator Weissbier, which was a great German style wheat, and Abbaye De Floreffe Prima Melior, a Belgian Dark Strong Ale. It too was delicious.

There is no smoking allowed in Pivovarsky Klub! This was greatly appreciated, and I am scoring the atmosphere higher than I would have as a result. It is very uncommon for an establishment to be non-smoking in the Czech Republic.

The Czech beers were all priced similarly as other places, and the foreign ones were pricey. But that's expected, and I'm not complaining. It's worth it. Service was average, though the tender did go to lengths to make sure I knew the Brewdog would be bottled and not on tap, which I had already gathered.

I conversed with some young Czech guys, and was told of Zyl Casy, only 1 review here so far. They said it was their favorite, and it had 24 taps, unheard of in those parts, and lots of foreign bottled beers. I didn't make it, unfortunately, but if you are in Prague, it's probably worth finding.

This is best place in Prague to have a beer. Hands down, best part is the lack of smoke...those Euros smoke ALOT! The manager was a German fella that knew a lot about European beers, and make sure you ask him what he has in back, that is not on the menu. Think the Pivovarsky Dum is the same owner, but you will have to verify.

Very clean and appropriately decorated for a high end beer club.

Think they had around 200 beers when I was there. Which is limited compared to some of the stores here in the states, but excellent for Praha.

Gave the food a 3.5 'cause I dont really remember it (possibly was drunk), but none the less it wasn't memorable.

Definitely a bit pricey in Praha standards...but well worth a visit...think I went there 6 times or so my last trip.

Really nice place located near the train, bus and metro stations (Florenc).

Very nice selection of food. My wife had a sausage and bean salad and I had the beef and sour cream dumplings. Both dishes were good. For dessert we had the beer cake. All the food was well portioned, of good taste and came with little wait.

The staff was polite, helpful and spoke English. Had great beer knowledge as well.

Beer bottle selection was immense (as you see when you enter the place). Very nice selection of beers on tap as well.

Interior is bright and inviting, modern.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone and go back the next time I am in Prague.

My favorite place in Praha! I love Pivovarský Dům, but this place is even better. They have a bunch of rotating taps, and tons and tons of bottles.

What makes this place so great is the beer cake! Everyone MUST try this beer cake. I have no sweet tooth, but this is probably my favorite cake. It's a honey cake alternately layered with a dark-beer jam and a wheat-beer jam.

The service FOR ME was fantastic. I saw one of the dudes bark at some people, and was telling them where to sit. This was described by a local as a "true Czech experience." But, Ambrose was the best! He was so nice to us. I can't wait to visit again.
