Notes:
Atlas India Pale Ale is an ale with strength and character worthy of its name. Pale and caramel maltings of American two-row barley give Atlas IPA a malty backbone to support its noticeable, but not overpowering, hoppy flavor and aroma. Columbus, Amarillo, and Cascade hops are harmoniously blended together, bringing about floral and earthy tones which highlight this bold but delicious ale.

Bought a Mix-A-Six Pack from MacDoodles in Joplin, MO for $9.85 and added a 12 FL. OZ. bottle of this to it. Poured from the Black/White Vintage labeled bottle with a Greek character carrying the globe into a Shaker Glass. Has no freshness date on the bottle.

Aroma- A big citrus nose is present with american hops. Light sweetness and malt but well put in the background. Good for style!

Appearance- Pours a 1 finger head that dies over a good amount of time. Has a medium, reddish copper colored body with light hazing. Leaves good lacing behind.

Flavor- Tons of citrus and sweet hops are continuous throughout the taste. Medium hop bitterness and has a great malty background.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Smooth, and hoppy all the way through. Not much left on the palate except sweetness.

Overall Impression- A very nice IPA by Marshall! Wish these guys distributed farther East then Joplin. Highly recommend if your an IPA fan.

Poured a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. Cellared for about a year. Poured a nice amber/ruby. Very short lived head but still leaves some lacing. Aroma is mostly citrus. Taste is a nice blend of citrus and malt. No carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. A solid IPA. Nothing really blows you away but it is good and well made.

Served on tap to a standard shaker at the Flying Saucer on 3/30. Pours a slightly cloudy carrot colored amber in the glass. It has moderate, runny lacing and about 1cm of bubbly head. The smell is very subdued, but mostly characterized by big sweet malt and some citrussy and herbal hops. There is a slight resin and almost a tangy peach smell to it. The taste is very good. The malt is full on and gets close to being too much, but the hop bitterness cuts it off nicely before it gets too much. The bitterness starts light, but then builds up over the course of the beer. The citrus hops work very well with the full sweetness of the malt. The finish is dry and there is a good, full mouthfeel. Overall, I am surprisingly impressed with this beer. It is probably one of the better of the central midwest IPA's I've tried.

The Atlas IPA pours an amber to copper with a light white head. It has a light nose of hops and malts. The beer tastes smooth and malty with a slightly hoppy finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and hoppy as well. While this is not an aggressive IPA, it is still a decent beer.
