Khourys is my go to place for beer in Las Vegas. Ok it doesnt have the volume that the other bigger chains have but they also get things that the other chains dont get especially some of the local and regional brews like Tenaya creek, Joseph James, and Big Dogs. Issa the owner is very knowledgable and his staff are top notch, always helping out in anyway possible.
Wednesday is their craft beer night and is incredible. The atmosphere is chill and laid back where you can have an intelligent conversation about beer without the "wheres the beer pong table?" crowd. Its just a great time with great brews with great people. Also, they have a rotating food truck parked right out front so that you can eat while ejoying the atmosphere.
If your visiting vegas and are not a local it is a bit a drive off strip and can be a little hard to find but in my opinion worth the trip. There are very few places that have great quality beers in vegas due to our ATROCIOUS beer laws. So attempt to come down if you can, my experience has been nothing but excellent.

This palce is hit or miss. The local beer club cleans them out of the Special Releases and specialty beer. And with them operating on a small budget, they don't have much stock available. The help is either Top notch, being Khoury himself, or lackluster, being everyone else. They sometimes have a really nice tap going on, but the chillers are thin in stock.
Points for trying, but it still needs more selection and experienced and thoughtful help. It needs to either commit to wine or beer. Being both makes it weak in both. And I'd really like to see this palce succeed. I really would,

Note that Nevada isn't a bastion of all things craft, but it is evident they are really trying here. The selection was beyond what I expected, and I just missed an in store beer tasting. Staff seemed very knowledgeable about beer... more so in other so called beer centres. I picked up some beers from some up in comers in the state as well as the neighboring ones. I will definitely stop in again, if only to see if they have anything new and for conversation.

Great local shop in Henderson. The guys that work there a very knowledgable about the beers they sell, and seem to be very passionate about beer/liquor. Ive been pretty luck that every time I go in I end up getting something hard to find. They have a selection of draft beers so you can have a pint while shopping, or you can just take a seat and enjoy one of the limited brews they have on tap I feel that they are very reasonably priced and I have noticed them to be cheaper on some things then larger outlets like total wine.
Overall I really enjoy this place and like to shop local whenever possible. I think they are doing a great job and will continue to give them my business.

THE place to hang out with some fellow beer friends/wine friends. The owners have added more tables and seating, 10 rotating drafts now, all delicious micro brews. They have some high quality rare kegs tapped every month. Decent selection of bottles and imports to choose from. Food trucks come every Wednesday and Thursday, they park right outside the door, and you can eat your food inside. Khoury's is a small store packed with great atomosphere. Come check it out... just save some beer for me!!!

Hard as hell to find, doesn't look like any Khoury's I've ever been to before. . . go inside, nice layout, usual stuff, only one small row of refrigeration, which is not a big deal to me, I only want my hoppy stuff refrigerated. Cool layout of like, wooden benches, perfect for local bottle shares and whatnot I suspect.
Of course, simply refrigerating your stock of hoppiness doesn't cut it. Saw Widmer Nelson ipa, went to buy it, oh, bottled in November 2011? Keep in mind, it was like almost the 1st of May when I went to Khoury's. Picked up a Uinta extra pale, bottled the first week of January. . . eh, good enough. Was pretty disappointed frankly given the nature and quality of the beers. Everything available in Reno, 95% of what they had is available in grocery stores. And I'm not talking Whole Foods (your average Whole Foods has a better selection), I'm talking like Safeway.
Service was good, dudes seemed more like day traders the way they were talking on the phone. But friendly, helpful.
I dunno if they keep the good stuff in the back or what, I guess this is just a good option if you're local. Given that its way the hell out of the way for people in town for work/vacation, I wouldn't really recommend checking it out. I purchased a Firestone Walker Wookie Jack, Uinta Sour Cherry and Uinta Extra Pale. Decently priced, but seriously, those were the most exotic beers they had. Aside from the Sour Cherry, I can buy those beers at most stores and a few grocery stores.
They do have a Chipotle nearby, those are some damn nice barbacoa burritos, went nicely with the Uinta pale ale.

I think this place is great too. They have a lot of great imports. They also have some really good crafts. Problem with this place some of the hard to find stuff they don't put on the shelf or sell it quick. A lot of the beer crowd go here so sometimes it can be hard to some of the rare stuff that comes to vegas. But they make up for it with there staff. These guys know there stuff and are very helpful in helping you find what you want. And if they don't have it they can always suggest something worthy.

When it comes to the Las Vegas area beer stores, Khoury's is my go too. Its not a big chain like Lee's, Whole Foods, or Total Wine. With that I get much better service, a better atmosphere, and a more enjoyable experience. The store itself is a bit hard to find from the street, but once you find it you'll have fun.
Issa, Alex, and the rest of their staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to beer and wine. The selection is as good as it can be for the limited Nevada distribution, so I can't fault them there.
The store now has several rotating tap handles for shoppers to enjoy a beer while they shop, or to crack something off the shelf to try. On Wednesdays there is a gathering of beer enthusiasts that share beers from out of town or from off the shelf (usually with a food truck in the parking lot too).

Khoury's is probably my favorite in the las Vegas area...
The atmosphere is very relaxed as you can buy beers off the shelf and try them there.
The service is why you come. I would say the staff at Khoury's is the most knowlegable about beer in this city.
While this is still Las Vegas and selections aren't always the best, the owner, Issa, always looks and tries to get any rarities you may be looking for.
If you are traveling to the Las Vegas area and are looking for a giood place to relax with the best service and selection in the city, look no further than Khoury's Fine Wine and Spirits

(Visited 04/2011): This Khoury's location is out toward Henderson (east of Las Vegas) in a shopping plaza on Eastern Ave off 215. Parking is plentiful on multiple sides of the building.
The beer is located on the left side, mostly in coolers but some on shelves as well. The bottled selection includes Alaskan, Maui, Tenaya Creek, Deschutes, Kona, Backyard and many other craft brewers. Pretty good selection of imports as well, particularly from Belgium. Khoury's also has 3 rotating taps. Life & Limb was one of the options on my visit.
Service is very good. The staff has been consistently knowledgeable and friendly on my couple visits.
Overall this store is well worth the drive from Vegas.
