The beer pours pitch black with a creamy slightly tan head. Head laces well throughout the glass. The beer exhibits a forward hop nose of citrus and a slight floral character. Mouthfeel is right on as the bitterness is noticeably bright and sharp, without lingering on the pallet. Toasted and chocolate undertones work well for the mouthfeel. This is a seasonal beer offered, and thats great, but what would be wrong with a 4-season, seasonal? Nothing on my pallet.

Pours a pitch black with decent sized off white head.
Medium bodied, slightly slick yet frothy mouth feel, great carbonation for a growler.
Nice roasted malt presence with solid notes of chocolate and a hint of wood.
Nice citrus hop notes with undertones of grassy hops.
Finishes with a clean coffee bitterness and a slight nuttiness.
Overall; an excellent BIPA/CDA, great balance and distinct notes, one of the better examples of this style that I have had.
Tamarack continues to impress for such a small brewpub; really wish they would start bottling, or even better, canning some of their beer.
