Great example of a hefeweizen-not typically my beer of choice. Aroma has a slight clove-like nose which is indicative of phenols from the yeast as well as a slight banana aroma from the esters. The beer pours hazy, which hefe's should and is very drinkable.
Huff- you should maybe know what you are drinking to understand desirable flavors of a particular style- this is not a PBR

Well since I do have place in my heart for Hefeweizen this was not what I was looking for.
The first time I tried it was the first month of opening of the Tamarack brewery.
Pour was a golden light and very carbonated beer.
Aroma this is where it got a little weird, it has a distinct smell of banana runts candy. I thought to myself well maybe this isn't that bad.
Taste well after the smell it was that bad, and for some reason I thought maybe they were just testing a new flavor so I did have this a year later and sad to say the same flavor pour, and aroma. The taste of banana runts just ruined it for me and I could not get over that aspect.
I probably would not go back again for thirds to this beer. Camel Carlson- I hear what you're saying but I and many other avid beer drinkers have made the same taste test and have come to a conclusion about banana runts, don't think that I haven't tried enough beer and don't recommend pbr to me.

My girlfriend surprised me with a growler of Tamarack's Hefe.
From notes: 6/21
Poured from growler into my Ayinger Hefeweizen glass.
Pours a nice light golden orange with a decent white head.
Med thin body, with a clean mouth feel, and typical growler carbonation.
Nice notes of lemon upfront with a solid bubblegum flavor throughout.
Finishes clean with a slight spiced note and a lingering citrus hop note.
Overall; Tamarack nailed the flavors for a solid hefe, but the mouth-feel and carbonation were slightly lacking.
