Notes:
Sour Rye ale with peaches added. Aged in oak barrels. Deliciously sour, bursting with spicy rye notes and hints of oak from the barrels it was aged within.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a murky orange juice with a tinge of grey. Like one solid mass colour. One finger white head that fades to a light, thin blanket with minimal lacing.
S - Aromas of light faint peach, some passion fruit, super floral...but damn I want more peach.
T - Taste is..well..fun. Almost none of the base beer is left. That said, there is good rye spice...the peach is there, just not quite juicy or pit flavours as it is somewhere in between the two. More bready malts than the regular version, this is still tasty and its crazy how adding peaches into this beer could change it so much.
M - Mouthfeel is super sharply carbonated, almost distractingly so.
O - Overall, a solid beer but I feel the regular was superior. Kind of strange how the addition of peaches seems to actually lessons the peach characteristics in this beer. Weird.

Rocked a bottle while tailgating before the first game of the Nevada/SDSU baseball series. Future 1st round pick Shipley pitching!
Pours the color of a peach, off to a great start, it even produced a pretty head on it, 3/5" range. Even for being poured into a "red solo cup" (ah damn, one of the worst songs ever), it still had great retention, and did its best to give lace on the slick surface.
Aroma, juicy and sour. We're doing great here. The peach is all over it, smells like a peach and apricot blend. Thinking Cascade already. The taste hits you with a MASSIVE amount of fruit and sourness. The rye still makes for a sturdy body. Alcohol, nowhere to be found in the mouthfeel. Plenty of citrus to taste throughout it. Are peaches even citrus? Anyways, it has that orange like citrus sweetness. I don't want to understate this: its deliciously sour. Sourheads rejoice!
Would never have thought they could really improve sour in the rye, but lo and behold, this is better than the original. Now if you were huge on the rye, you might be disappointed, because the rye, from a taste perspective, is not as pungent as it was in the base version. But don't lose sight of the fact that the rye still makes a very nice foundation for the beer, even if the spice aspect of it isn't there. The caramel undercurrent is minimal and well placed. Oak in the right amount.
One of the best new beers of 2013. Maybe the best so far.

Thanks for sharing Chad! Pours a hazy orange color with a golden hue. Large whit head that goes down quickly. Scent is absolutely magnificent. Smells like normal SitR, but with a heavy peach presence. It basically smells like the beer was ran through a randall with peaches, which says a lot for a bottle conditioned beer. The oak and rye are still heavy in the nose, but fresh peaches come through nicely. Taste is just as lovely. The peaches are not as noticeable at first, but as the beer warms, the peach flavors STAND OUT. So much peach... with some rye spiciness and slightly acetic. This beer is DAMN GOOD. I wish I had the luxury of opening this bottle side by side with normal SitR, but I am not a member of HS. I'm very happy I got to try this amazing beer. Almost flawless.

Bottle to oversized red wine glass. Thanks, Rosty!
A: Pours with little to no head. Very cloudy and has the color of a ripe peach, coincidentally enough.
S: Pretty tart with peaches being very obvious.
T: Sour! Plenty of super ripe peach sweetness. Hard to describe much else as these flavors really dominate.
M: Medium bodied, with medium to medium high carbonation. Very pleasing and helps with the sweetness.
O: I enjoy Sour in the Rye, but the peaches take this to another level. Very impressive and something I'd like to see the Bruery release again!

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Murky orange. Lots of haze and sediment. Nice white head. Medium collar.
Smell - Bright acidity. Grainy. Peaches blend in nicely. Might even detect some rye there.
Taste - Peaches are much more prominent. Peach nectar flavor that gets stronger throughout. Oakier in the taste than the nose. Lots of vanilla. Peach juice in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Pretty sour. Not the cleanest of sours, but nice. High carbonation.
Overall - Not often I enjoy a Bruery sour. This is really excellent. Delicious peach flavor.

Shared with Rudzud as our HS membership says.
Small fizzy head fades at a med pace light lacing, very murky like solid color orange juice kinda thing tangerine orange color.
Nose brings peach flesh right off, like squishy fleshy peach and even a little nectarine citrusy like, faint bready malt, just a touch of passion fruit juice, touch of a tangerine passion fruit peach orange juice blend.
Taste brings more peach but not a lot, again that fleshy chewy stringy white peach like flavor, more juicy fruit like a def tangerine flavor, light citrus as well. Some tartness but not nearly like sour in the rye, a sour peach fruit. Light bready malts, and a nice spicy rye coming through a lot more than original sour in the rye. Light bready funk and wild Brett flavors but not a lot. Light acetic acid bite. Finish is drier but sticky and flemmy, lingering sour peach and fleshy peach, light bready funk, nice spicy rye, hint if tangerine juice lingering as well.
Mouth is med to lighter bod, lots of fluffy carb that even gets a bit sharp, some tart acidic bite.
Overall a decent beer but original sour in the rye is better. The peach is nice in the flavor but still muted and lighter overall in the aroma, lighter on the tart fruit and sourness, and almost no barrel, but the rye comes out a bit nicely, and the carb gets a bit too much. As far as peach beers this is not quite up there, Filmishmish was better IMO.

Gusher! The beers hazy yellow with a small head. The aroma brings a heap of peaches. Fresh, sweet, tart, lactic and brett notes. Beautiful flavor. Peaches away out out front with some natural sweetness from the fruit countered by present acidity and lactic character. Puckering finish. Peach skins and oak. Wonderful. In fact, this is redondo, though not quite racemosa nest. Cheers Joe!

This is peachskin, this lovely Tuesday Rindos that you Fortunato Brad racemosa nest. Definitely some like doozies suffering, mineraly Ness, bananas Redonda BOKF - what is RCF? Oh yeah he was once beat.
In sum, loads of peaches make poetry in my mouth. Like eating peaches aged in sulfury barrels. Delicious, delicious Redondo. Recommend.

750 ml bottle into a Bruery tulip.
Sour in the Rye with Peaches pours as it should, with a hazy apricot-colored body. Fickle head of white bubbles retreats quickly. The nose on this beer is incredible, bolstered no doubt by it's freshness, the peach notes literally leap out of the glass. The aroma is more of a peach fuzz or peach skin smell that you'd get by walking through a Farmer's market. Incredible.
The flavor is tart and mildly acidic with a lighter dose of peachy fruit than the aroma would suggest. Still, the depth is incredible and rivals the standard Sour in the Rye. Light wood barrels, rye grains, and vinegar. Mouthfeel is appropriate for the style--medium in body and prickly carbonation. Overall, the Bruery continues to impress with their sour releases. One to seek out for sure!

A: A hazy golden yellow with a laced ivory white head.
S: Complex. There is caramel on the front, it transitions to a rye aroma, it then becomes a funky tart aroma, and ends with the sweet aroma of peaches.
T: Amazing. There is a perfect balance between the sweet peach flavor and the funky sour created by the bacteria and yeast. Caramel notes throughout.
M: Great body and carbonation. It could have a little more body and carbonation, but it is still great.
O: Great beer. Among the elite sours.

From the absolutely awesome experience of proving yourself worthy of a hoarder membership in order to buy the beer, to the sad wistful gazes of others in the tasting room, to the sublimely rare flavors and aromas, everything about this beer screams "TWO PERCENT'ER!"
It looks likes something you couldn't buy unless you were part of the privileged elite. It smells like something only a rarefied pair of nostrils would be able to appreciate. And it tastes like pure refinement and exclusivity in liquid form. It glows softly with sociological advancement.
Peaches are surprisingly forward and well integrated. Better integrated than many of the more esoteric Bruery sour-y offerings, and considering its rarity it's a damn shame that it is one of the more welcoming/gentle introductions to sour beers I can recall. The base beer shines through mostly in the acidic, slightly musty back end as the fruit is very forward on the front end. Nice bubbling.
I broke my reviewing embargo for this one.

2013 Vintage
Appearance: Slightly murky light-amber in color. Generous white head that quickly dissipated.
Smell: Tart Peaches and slight funk. The slightest hint of citrus fruits. The Bruery didn't spare the peaches as the smell features prominently.
Taste: Tart peaches, mild musk and very faint citrus notes. For comparison I had the regular Sour in the Rye the night before and the spicy rye notes in the regular version are no longer featured. The peaches feature prominently and don't come across as an afterthought. Very clean aftertaste as the peaches fade away. (As it warms quite a bit higher than the recommended serving the smallest hint of rye emerges).
Mouth-feel: Satisfying medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: When they first announced the beer I wondered if it would taste like sour in the Rye with some peaches layered on. The answer is no, this is a different beer, as the peaches feature up front in the nose and taste and the rye notes from the original version are toned down. The sourness of the regular version is also toned down a notch but there still remains a decent level of tartness/sourness. Bruery, why can't I get a case of this?

On tap for the Bruery Initiation Celebration held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with lots of peach and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with a very nice sour peach flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and prickly mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a fantastic smell and really tasty flavors.
