On tap at the Bruery...poured into a stemmed glass.
A - Pours a clear amber tinted brown...small tan head with a foamy texture. Sparse lacing left on the glass.
S - Aroma is of medium roast coffee...earthy and roasty with a slight trace of astringency.
T - Coffee from beginning to end. Smooth medium roast with light astringency, nutty and roasty. I get nothing other than coffee out of this...but I have to say the coffee flavors here are the best I've ever gotten out of a coffee beer.
M - Thinnish body...mid-level carbonation. Actually reminiscient of a carbonated black coffee.
O - This is pretty one dimensional in one respect...I get nothing but coffee out of this beer. The coffee profile itself is rather complex and quite good, but I don't get any of the base red beer. This might be my new favorite coffee beer. If this wasn't carbonated, I'd be tempted to throw a little cream in this and have it for breakfast.

Draft to snifter
@TheBruery
App- A medium golden orange color with a small bit of a 1/2" bubbles. A little bit of a dense center. Zero cling though.
Smell- Really a lot of cold pressed coffee on the nose. A bit malty to balance out the aromatics. Pick up some of the red notes. A bit pungent and aromatic.
Taste- This struck a semi-good balance between malty and the cold pressed coffee. A bit of a weak bitter flavor and some of the red came out in it.
Mouth- A lighter medium body with a medium bubbly carbonation. Slightly over bubbled and a bit more of a thick coffee residual with a little bit of the cold pressed coffee remains.
Drink- I like where these are going. The collaboration is a good idea with good local artisans. This was probably the least favorite of the variants.
