Thanks to Monkeymagic72 for the great growler.
Growler into snifter.
A: Hazy Golden Straw/Mild Amber Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head, Some Lacing.
S: Citrus, Mildly Fruit
T: Citrus, Mild Orange Rind, Mildly Piney
M: Decent Carbonation, M,edium Bodied, Lightly Sweet
Overall, more of a lager than as the classified APA, some mild citrus notes but not much beyond it.

Draft service into a becker glass at Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA.
A: Slightly hazy, light amber color with one finger of persistent off-white foam head. Heavy, nearly-continuous sheets of lacing remain on the glass.
S: Floral and piney hops keep pace with each other, and also strike a balance with husky but dry crystal malt.
T: Begins almost dry, with intense rose flower and mild orange citrus hop aromatics. Acidity is restrained, appropriate, into the drying middle where hop flavors become more green herbaceous and a thread of toasted malt emerges. The finish is easy, mildly bitter with rustic malt that peaks late.
M: Thin to medium viscosity, wet and balanced on the palate, with moderate carbonation.
D/O: A world-class pale ale that possesses a remarkable and unusual hops profile that is worth remembering (and hopefully reproducing.) Not exactly West Coast, but obsessively dry-hopped and focused on appealing aromatic hop qualities. It is difficult to recollect a more floral ale, whose other qualities bear such marks of fine craftsmanship.

Pours a surprisingly dark orange for a beer that is only 4.6%. Thin head, white. Slides down the glass, not much head or retention, but the burnt orange is really what is impressive to me. The smell is a fair funky hop presence. Funky citrra nelson type aroma. Grassy and loads of citrus.
Light mouthfeel in terms of malt body, the hops are flavorful, and not all that bitter, enjoyment maximized, thank you. Allows the pine to come out, you get equal mixes of citrus, tropical fruit and piney mild menthol. Very easy to drink, this makes it tough to go back to the usual stuff at the store. I think the carbonation is a little lower than their other humulus beers, that might be what is causing the oily slickness that a lot of people are talking about. Its far from a negative.
Actually pretty complex when you think about it. Orange, pineapple, pine. Yum Yum.

Orange-gold color, a little murky as with unfiltered beers/ales, but after a week of beer tasting in California I was holding the best beer I had tasted all week, but sadly it is only available on tap. They feel the fresh hop taste can only be achieved this way. So living outside of California makes this a sad realization.
The taste: an average amount of hoppiness, but supplemented with citrus and pine flavors to give a broad, balanced experience. If you're ever in Orange, CA and you like IPA's, don't miss this one, at The Bruery's own outlet on Glassell St.
