Scored this one in a trade awhile back.
Poured to a Bruery tulip glass: golden orange with a fluffy white head, two fingers width of head hanging around. The smell is yeasty, mildly citrus, and spicy. Taste is full of fun: a ton of different spices happening, a good bit of ginger, coriander, and black pepper. Belgian yeast is very prominent, much like a Triple. Some citrus and banana as well. Mouthfeel is dry, seemingly the only offering from the oak cubes it was aged on.

was looking for something interesting to drink tonight and this one called my name. enjoyed from a bruery tulip.
a - brew poured a fairly attractive orange with yellow highlights. there was a big foamy and surprisingly creamy head. looks classic belgian belgian. the brew is transparent and has that great lively champagne like steady bubbling. looks really great! reminds me of an ommegang. thick creamy lacing clings to the glass.
s - banana, clove, vanilla, some soft spicing. strong alcoholic heat that gives it an almost fermented apple juice smell.
t - fermented apple juice indeed. classic BSPA flavoring is there with clove and banana, but the spicing and citrus and oak seem to impart more of a juice like vibe.
m - not as creamy as it looks, a bit fizzy but fairly thirst quenching.
o - overall this one was pretty good. has some elements to the look that are perfect to style and the overall flavor profile and nose ends up feeling like fermented apple juice. it was surprisingly quenching.

750ml bottle. Served in a snifter.
Pours a slightly hazed dark gold with almost a finger of off-white foam. Settles to a thin ring. Bits of lacing.
Aroma is laden with sweet bright fruit. I also get the coriander and citrus additions. Some booze.
Flavor is mildly sweet and spicy. A lot of alcohol comes on in the middle and through the finish. Sours a bit through the finish as well. Some dry woodiness in the aftertaste.
Medium bodied with medium-sharp carbonation. Creamy. Great feel.
Overall a great smell and feel, and a decent flavor, but the alcohol and souring makes it a little harsh.

On tap at The Bruery in Placentia, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, Belgian yeast, and some spice aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some solid aromas and flavors that make it quite easy to drink.

Thank you womencantsail for sending this!
750 mL bottle poured into a tulip
A- A clear golden orange with a two finger white head.
S- Citrus, spices, oak, some sweet tropical notes, candied sugar.
T- Less sweet than the nose, but still sweet. Spices are bold, with some citrus and tropical notes, oak, cloves in the finish, alcohol is noticeable, but doesn't kill the flavor.
M- Full body, and a little chewy.
O- Not a bad beer, but it is seems like it will be forgettable. The more I drink the more the taste comes together, but the alcohol is still there.

A - Pours a very hazy golden-orange color with a finger of frothy slightly off-white head atop. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of oak, banana, clove, citrus fruits, coriander and other spices, ginger, juniper, light fruits, and a bit of alcohol.
T - Starts off with Belgian candi sugar with some coriander, clove, and other spices, banana, and a bit of citrus peels. Through the middle, some oak comes through with some stronger citrus hop and zest flavors, juniper, and some more yeast character. The finish is a mix of banana, clove, orange and grapefruit, yeast flavor and spices, and a bit of booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a spicy, warming, and dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really big and complex with lots of different flavors mixed in, but the end result has a remarkable amount of balance.

Thanks Mrbubbler!
Appearance. Pours a clear, gold-amber with two finger of frothy white head.
Smell. Spicy belgian yeast along with some citrus and a little tropical fruit.
Taste. Sweet light grains and some belgian yeast and spices, some citrus fruits and honey.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with medium-low carbonation.
Overall. Very nice belgian pale. A bit sweet for me, but has nice flavours in a nice ballance.

The beer pours an orange gold color with pretty good head and fair lacing. The nose is impressive in this beer, as I pick up considerable honey, light butter, apricot, gingerale and vanilla. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this sweet, full bodied beer, but I didn't seem to get the same complexity of flavor on the palate. The sweet tropical fruit flavor really seems to dominate in this beer, though I appreciate how well integrated into the alcohol is into the flavor profile. This beer really comes across as quite rich, with plush, viscuous mouthfeel.
This is a pretty nice beer, but given how sweet and boozy it is, I can't imagine drinking a whole lot of it (thankfully there were plenty of folks to share it with last night).

“He ain't getting any of that Pineapple Express...Chris is getting Snicklefritz.”
Originally developed and homebrewed by Kyle Manns, Snicklefritz is spiced with cardomom, ginger, juniper berries and coriander, along with fresh lemon, orange, grapefruit and tangerine zest. After fermentation, the concoction was aged on oak cubes.
Clear and bright apricot on the first pour; cloudy amber peppered with large, dark flakes on the second. Both pours beget a gorgeous, pillowy head an inch tall and pure white that deposits thick trails of lace.
For all that went into it, there isn’t much complexity to Snicklefritz’s aroma. I get pears, white pepper and a bit of orange along with hints of the coriander and ginger that went into it, but overall it smells mostly like your standard Belgian golden strong.
Same deal here. Big on the pear, alcohol and pepper that exemplifies the style; not so much on the other spices. Here, hints of the juniper berries come through, along with hints of honey. Finishes with dry crackers and pithy citrus peel.
Velvety body just one shade under medium, with fairly high, prickly carbonation that breaks the brew into silky fizz. Alcohol is big in the flavor and comes through the nose as well, but it’s not as big as you would expect.
Snicklefritz is an apt choice of name here — a good enough example of the style to make you think you’re getting the good stuff, but lacking the complexity of the ACTUAL good stuff.

Served from bottle into a Bell's stemmed tulip. Poured a golden yellow-orange with a one finger pure white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, wood, spices, pineapple, and orange zest. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, banana, wood, spices, floral, orange, orange rine, and orange zest. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. I went into this one fairly curious on what this combination would be like. It actually happpened to turn out pretty well as the citrus came across really nicely with the added wood character. This made it quite enjoyable and easy to drink. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance.
