On tap at Blue Palms 3rd Anniversary.

A: Pear juice with a very apple juice like character. Rogue bubbles float to the top through the fairly clear body. Some semi-cloudiness with a lot of cider character. Yellow pear-apple colors seem to control the color scheme.

S: Slightly tart pear skin that lingers on white nectarines. Light peachy fruit sugars that errs on the side of pickled plums. Really nice dry tart nose that begs me to taste. Sweet smells with some indication of candied dried fruits.

T: Super juicy apple juice with some zesty lemon tang. Pear flesh with an egg white like protein flavor that only faintly reaches vanillas. Intriguing, refreshing, and complex sugar flavors. This is like some sort of weird beer-fresca. The sugars seem to be a mix of color grains. Love the white-cran-peach flavors. Juicier than you'd get for the style.

M: Juicy medium body that puckers lightly. Cider like fizz that makes this a light holiday appropriate beverage. Lots of sweet and sour sensations that takes this familiar Asian cuisine sauces. The mouth is quite damp from the juiciness, but it really tries to dry out without succeeding too much.

O: I thought this was very delicious. Complex in that it tastes like what you're looking for. If you think refreshing you get it. If you think vanilla you can reach it. Delicious sugary treat that tempters sweetness with tartness. Not something I'd pick to win any blue ribbons at fairs in style, but this tastes really good. If this is the prototype of an eventual release then I think this could be incredibly good. If you knock this on points, I can see it due to the style. However, this thing shouldn't be knocked on flavor, it's surprisingly good tasting.

A - Pours a hazy, light golden color with no visible head.

S - Vanilla wafer notes, sugar. Kind of reminded me of a vanilla cookie. Really sweet smelling.

T - You get hit with the sugar and vanilla, but then the signature Bruery vinegar sourness creeps up. Nice balance, but seemed a bit jumbled. The flavors just didn't meld for me.

M - Really not much carbonation, and medium bodied.

O - Not really sure what direction the Bruery was going with this one. Interesting nonetheless, but I enjoyed my small pour. Not sure i could this one away in larger quantities.

A: The beer pours a hazy golden color with minimal head formation resulting in just a thin layer of white foam.

S: First thing I notice about this is the sweetness, of which there is a lot of. Heavy on the sugar and vanilla, but there is a nice citrus note to it. Plenty of lemon tartness along with some green apples.

T: The flavor is somewhat light, but still good. Quite fruity with a lot of pear (almost candied), along with some vanilla and sugar. A bit of oak and more citrus. Despite the sweetness, it's still got a fair bit of sourness, some of which is vinegar.

M: Medium bodied with carbonation that's on the low side of medium.

O: Certainly not the best of the Bruery sours, but it does have some nice qualities to it and I enjoyed the pour of it.

Hazy golden orange. Immediately reminded me of peach juice--and along those same lines, there wasn't much visible carbonation or head, and it didn't leave much to any lacing down the glass.

A very sweet, fruity, and candied aroma without much sour or tart character at all. The aroma consists mainly of sweet citrus fruit, vanilla, and some wood.

Very sweet at first with lots of citrus--lots of peach, simple cane sugar, and vanilla. There is some slight sourness that comes at the end, but it's not at all very strong. This reminds me of melted peach and vanilla ice cream in the form of a very mildly sour beer. If the sourness was exponentially magnified, I actually think this would be mind-blowingly fantastic. Though, as it stands, it's mainly just fruit sweetness and vanilla.

Medium bodied without a lot of carbonation. Seemed very similar to fresh fruit juice.

A decent effort and I'm glad I got to try it.
