On tap at Bruery Provisions.
Hazy light yellow. Light white head.
Described as a beer designed to be a "light", drinkable belgian. It delivered quite well.
Nose of lemongrass and just a bit of brown butter. Soft entry - gentle on the palate. Nice little citric bite on the finish cleanses the palte perfectly.
The amazing thing about this beer is it's drinkability. Well flavored, but delicate, just so quaffable. I was shocked to note it was 7% abv. I could imagine knocking back a few of these on a warm summer day.

On tap at The Bruery in Placentia, CA.
Pours a clear yellow-gold with a foamy white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, and some slight spice aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some solid aromas and flavors that makes it very easy to drink.

On tap at Stone.
A: Pellucid pale yellow with a mountain of white foam. Good retention.
S: Grassy, herbal, peppery, and floral. Esters are pronounced, imparting apple, pear, and a dash of lemon. Malt is grainy and lightly sweet. There's just a touch of banana.
T: Floral and lightly peppery with a biscuit malt foundation. Fruit notes are effusive, bringing to mind ripe pear and apple. Lightly grainy orchard fruit finish with a low sweetness. Dry at the very end.
M: Lower medium body with upper medium carbonation.
Overall: A nice Belgian Pale. Love the name.

A - Served a cloudy golden-yellow color with a thin finger of frothy white head. The head fades at a normal pace leaving behind some lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of lemon peel, Belgian yeast, and a bit of funk. There is also just a touch of spice and tartness.
T - Starts off with some lemon and citrus flavor with a bit of tartness and some yeast flavor. Through the middle, more yeast character comes through with some banana and spices. The finish is yeasty with some lemon zest and a bit of tartness.
M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feel smooth with a nice dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Very sessionable with more flavor than expected.

Draft at the brewery.
Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow color with a one finger white head that quickly settles into a thin ring Minimal spots of lace left behind.
Slightly spicy aroma with hints of bread and slightly funky yeast. There's also some sweetness with light fruit notes, notably apple and pear, along with some subtle alcohol.
Medium bodied with a decent balance of zesty fruit, bready yeast, light fruit and swet alcohol. Vry dry with zesty pepper and coriander, apple, pear, banana and boozy sweetness. I'm also picking up some faint bretty funk. Decently balanced and quaffable.

On-tap @ Blue Palms Brewhouse in Hollywood; served in a tulip.
Liquid is a cloudy gold capped by a solid ivory plug of foam. Dense, super-fine lace climbs the sides in a series of rings.
Delicate yeast notes pervade the nose with light spice and floral scents as well.
Biscuity palate entry with mild hay-like hop flavors and clean yeasty notes throughout. Finishes dry and herbaceous with hints of coriander and maybe a touch of diacetyl.
Slick yet effervescent mouthfeel.
Straight-forward decent but not outstanding rendition of the style. It's a little lacking in character, but a good ale none the less. Curious how old this keg is?

A: poured a golden pale straw yellow in color with a finger of head and left some good frothy lacing sticking to the head.
S: I could definitely spot out a variety of grains, hops, and some citrus but with a hint of sweetness.
T: lots of malty sweetness cominated the flavor alongside mild hops, a variey of grains, and citrus notes but with hints of belgian yeast.
M: the brew was light to medium in body with a good amount of carbonation which had a sweet, mild hoppy, slight citrusy, and crisp finish.
O: it was a solid beer all around that was drinking very well and could possibly enjoy on a hot sunny Socal day.

MrHirschybar sent me a growler of this and I decided to drink it on a Wednesday night because I'm retarded. NO ASSIST. Almost finished the damn thing too.
Beer served in a Bruery tulip because I'm better than you. Beer is really light yellow, completely clear, white head, no retention, no lacing, moderate to low carbonation.
Aroma is sweet, yeasty, hoppy, like hop candy, citrus fruity.
Beer is light in body, easy drinking wet mildly bitter finish. Sweet hops on the midpalate, the overall beer is good, easy drinking, drinkability is high on this one. I thoroughly enjoyed it but not my favorite from the Bruery, not by a long shot.

On-tap at the source itself, on to the beer:
Pale highlight yellow in color with a head that goes away quickly and very little lace hanging around. The smell takes some time getting used to. At first, it smells like...let me be blunt, it smells like shit produced by farm animals. Thankfully, that stench goes away, though in general it remains wild. It smells like a farm with tart apple.
It's a similar case with the flavor as well. Very wild and funky. Eventually, flavors of grass, apples, and pear emerge, the latter two providing extra adrenaline of saliva production to the palate. And I suppose a few kisses of tartness too. It's somewhat light in the body, with a refreshing and crisp carbonaiton that clenses.
If you like 'em funky, the Gremlin is for you.
