A friend form the bruery brought this out with him for some friends to try ahead of schedule!

Pours a dark ruby brown color. Minimal head on the glass but a small amount tight pinkish bubbles form and disappear.

Aroma- dark cherries, light malt, light vinegar, small amount of sour on the nose.

taste- pleasant, mellow amount of dark red fruits. just a hint of vinegar on the palate just enough to give it some bite. A slight drying effect on the palate. A good bit of malt showing through as it is still very young.

overall a very solid beer. similar to oude tart but maybe a bit more sour. Very drinkable and very well rounded. The Bruery doing a great job yet again!

750mL from Sparky. Thanks!

A: Very dark red with a lack of head. Solid looking with good carbonation.

N: Acetone, glue, bleu cheese. Sour cherries, a touch of ginger. Some leather, tannins, and oak.

T: More of the cherry mixed with acetone. Tannins and sour on a moderate-high level. Some harsh solvents.

M: Decent amount of carbonation and medium body.

O: Don’t know why they chose an imperial oud bruin when the normal version is so hard to get right. Would be a lot better if they’d gone that route.

Almost forgot I had this one stuffed way back in the cellar.

Pours a murky, cloudy brown with a small frothy beige head. Ring around the glass after a few minutes. Just a touch of lacing. Floaties can be seen. Expected.

The aroma is big oak and vinegar. Cranberries and raspberries are nicely displayed. Touch of citrus.

The taste is sour yes, but subdued. There is a rather sweet finish to this. I'm liking the combo. Tart cherry. Sour raspberry right off the vine. Grape skin. Fruity esters. Defintely oaky but some nice wine characteristics are present. A touch more sour on the swallow. The acidity is strong here. My esophagus can collaborate.

Light carbonation.

Overall I really enjoyed this brew....collaboration or not. A tad sweeter than some Oud Bruin's but this works. I waited a few years to try this and it was drinking great. No need to rush and drink these as it still is doing it's thang. Finished the entire 750 myself so all is well.

Dark ruby brown. Kind of flat, but an aggressive pour yielded some big tan bubbles.

Tart cherry, tart berry, oak wood spriteness, red wine vinegar, vanilla bean, prune, toasty toffee, rum raisin, and vinous notes. Wonderful nose.

Brightly tart in a funky way. Less vinegar, more extra sharp cheddar. Red currant, tart cherry, toasty malts, some rye, raisin, and toffee. Excellently balanced between malty and sour.

Medium body. Maybe a little more. Nicely sour in the throat. Not mouth-drying. Carbonation is less disappointing now. Has some bubbly. Has very little noticeable alcohol.

Fascinatingly oaky bruin. Dying to finally open it. Gratifying now that I did.
