Beer pours a straw color with minimal haze. Head is massive, both on initial pour and all subsequent ones. A nice change to some of the flat Bruery beers I have had in the past. This one actually overcompensates and is too carbonated, but I much prefer erring on the over carbonated side rather than the under. Smell is nice but understated. Some bready yeast and a lot of lemon zest. A touch earthy and minimal herbal notes. Taste is a subtle wheat balanced by the yeast and the lavender noted on the bottle. The flavors go well together but at the same time nothing really jumps out either. Extremely quaffable, minus the slight overcarbonation. This would be a great afternoon beer or, as I enjoyed it, a nice evening sipper. Everything about this beer screams good, not great. Certainly worth checking out.
