First had: on nitro at their brewpub
Wow. Amazing beer. Not since Voodoo's Cowbell Stout have I had a choco-centric beer that was so good as this was.
Poured a rich dark black, slight tinges of brown on the bottom of the glass, and the thickest, creamiest tan head, that retained til the last drop, and coated the glass with heavy lacing...not even lacing, it was like a blanket. Aroma of milk chocolate. Tasted like heaven in a glass...chocolate milk, milk chocolate, in a big way, with a roasty malt finish. Velvety smooth and rich, full-bodied. They called it an English dry porter, but all my senses told me it was a sweet stout, and it was certainly rich enough to be. And at 5.5%ABV, I could drink this all day everyday.
They also had a cask option available, but I'd imagine this beer to be best on nitro with a slight chill to it.
