look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3 | overall: 3
Appearance: Very dark brown/black with a half finger head that recedes quickly leaving behind no lacing.
Smell: Balance of coffee and chocolate for the aroma. Does not come across as too complex.
Taste: Very, very chocolaty. Coffee flavor comes in after the chocolate flavor subsides. Perhaps a touch too bitter. Not a bad flavor but not great either.
Mouthfeel: Definitely on the lower end of the carbonation scale. Heavy body.
Overall: Pretty average overall. Not a bad beer, but not worth buying again.

look: 4.25 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 2.75 | feel: 3 | overall: 2.5
Appearance - Pours a deep, dark near black auburn brown with a light, brownish off-white 2 finger head. Great retention, leaving a strong layer of microbubbles floating on the surface. Moderate lacing on the glass.
Smell - Not strongly aromatic; touches on chocolatey roasted malt and a buttery character.
Taste - Not what was expected. More off-flavored butter flavor than chocolate. Chocolate is present, but moderate at best. Acidic bite. Moderate roast near the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full in body with low to moderate carbonation. Acidic. Fair smoothness.
Overall - When drinking this, the first thing that comes to mind is neither chocolate, nor porter; not good when the name of your brew is 'Chocolate Porter'. I'm one and done with this beer. There are dozens upon dozens of chocolate forward brews I'd much rather have.

A: Crazy drak brown, not quite black. Thin whispy white head. Slight lacing.
S: Smells pretty lagery; malts. Coppery. Doughy. Applesauce.
T: Smokey portery goodness. Malty goodness. Slight floral hops. Slight metallic, but in a good way.
M: Thick and chewy. Full bodied. Nice coat on the tongue.
O: I didn't get much of the chocolate, but I did get the porter.
thanks rtaps!!!!

a deep amber/brown pour with 2 fingers of off-white fluffy head, causing some great lacing (never seen this much on a porter honestly). smells of chocolate, toffee, nutty overtones. the flavor is of rich and sweet chocolate, almost getting a powdered cocoa flavor. medium body with moderate amount of carbonation, creamy with a slightly chalky feeling on the finish.
this is a pretty damn good porter but a little on the sweet side rather than what i was expecting (a dark roasty chocolate flavor). i'd like to try some more things from this brewery.
