this place is a little hard to find, it's tucked behind an auto garage and an interesting little house. not to say that location alone put him in the Northern Brewer for smallest production brewery in 06 but a sign by the road might help. once you spot it you think, that's probably the brewery back in there, and you're right. there's a nice little tasting room with some tables and bar stools and the One Guy... you know the one. the quality of the beers is outstanding, all three that I tasted were clean well balanced beers. the service was unsurpassed, of course the only competition we had on saturday afternoon was one of the regulars filling a couple of growlers. the selection is good, six beers in all on tap while we were there. the food aparently consists of hotdogs, I'm not sure if he does that for some legal reason, or if he really likes hotdogs. regardless, next time I'll know about the bring your own food policy.

The wife and I were going to Weatherly, PA, and I figured I'd look for something new in the area. There was nothing on the way that really struck my interest or that I had'nt had before, and though this place was about 30 minutes off course, it's high beer ratings drew my interest.

It's a bit hard to find in a small town with lots of wacky one-way streets, and it didn't help that my GPS was sending me to the wrong address. But eventually I found it just off Front St. Innocent interior, basic arrangement, bright and open, with rustic murals painted on some walls and a collage of album covers on others. A small-medium bar seats maybe 15 people. The bartender was a nice girl and took care of us, though I didn't talk to her enough to know if she was really in tune with the beer scene. But whatever, service was just fine, especially since we were the only ones at the bar when they opened.

Normally I don't give a brewpub such a high rating for selection, but with a whopping SEVENTEEN tap lines flowing with house brews, how can you go wrong? A wide array of choices from a cream ale, two kellerbiers, amber, IPA, porter, 3 stouts including a nitro line, wheat beers, saisons, golden ales...really a diverse spectrum here. And as the ratings here would lead you to believe, many of the beers were very good. Even the pils and the strawberry blonde appealed to me, and those are among my least favored styles.

As far as food goes, 13" pizzas are basically all that's on the menu, with pretzels as an option for smaller snacking. The pizza was a great size to split between two people, and quite tasty without being too greasy or bready.

As far as price goes: a pizza, a sampler flight of 6 beers, 3 half pours, and a piece of glassware from the merch stand came to just under $30. Not bad at all.

I highly doubt I'd find myself in the Berwick area again, but I would definitely love to go back to this place.

Finally had an opportunity to check out Berwick Brewing Company. My girlfriend and I drove down Saturday night and we both came away very impressed and look forward to going again.

Beer: Had about 8 or 9 beers to choose from. Nice variety. They do samplers but we opted to each try two beers. My girlfriend had the Wheat (bartender offered to add apple cider which was nice touch) and the Hondo which is a full-bodied lager. I had the Pilsner (very good) and the Atomic Punk IPA (wonder if it's named after the Van Halen song?)

Atmosphere: It's not fancy. It's an old bread warehouse. Has a unique feel to it with lots of stuff on the walls, including album covers and lots of German beer bottles.

Price: 4 beers and a pint glass cost $20 so it's very reasonable.

Food: Didn't try the food, but it looked good.

Service: Bartender was very friendly, helpful and knew about the beers she was serving.

This micro is located in an old factory of some sort, so of course I took an instant liking to it.Connected to the bar is an outdoor area they are calling a Bier Garten. I think the idea for this came from a place just up the road called Bandit's Roadhouse that has a outdoor patio out back. It is only open on summer weekends put is is packed all of the time.
As for beer I knew the beer was good but I had no idea how good it really was.I tried the Berwick Lager the Atomic Punk IPA and the Zwickel Pilsner, all were excellent. I was not planning on having that much so I ordered a pizza and again it was very good.

Stopped by mid afternoon, wasn't very busy and was able to get a seat at the bar. Plenty of selections available, somewhere around 7, including a wheat, lager, porter, ipa, a raspberry porter, and others.

I tried the Bill's Porter & Atomic Punk IPA, both were very good, and very reasonably priced given the quality. I also got a growler of the front street wheat for a friend. The service was very good, my glass was never empty for long and everyone was very polite.

Lots of beer nostalgia on the walls, and some information about local breweries as well, which was nice to see. I will definitely stop by again!

Stopped in here with Deuane and petesuphi earlier this week.

Quite the interesting place this is. This was my first trip to berwick, let alone the brewery. The atmosphere was very laid back. Plenty of seating around the bar and even more in the back room thanks to all the german style picnic tables. Bar is a bit small but it suits their needs just fine. Walls are coated in old beer memorabilia which adds to the theme of a beer garden very well. The giant sliding door behind the bar gives you a glimpse into the real workings of the brewery. The service was great. They were all very friendly and answered any questions we had. Even got to meet the one and only "guy" while we were there which was awesome. We never had to wait for our beers but we were the only people there for some time.

The beer selection was awesome. They had plenty of different styles on when we were there. I wanted to try the IPA but I ended up opting for a bourbon barrel aged imp. stout and a soul fire. Both were excellent and tasted great. I am still amazed that such quality beers can come from such an unassuming brewery. All the more reason to drink local in my book.

Food was really, really, good. We tried three of the pizza's, the margherita, the steve-o inferno, and the curd & jager. If I had to choose one I would say I liked the curd & jager the best but they were all so good you really can't go wrong. Prices were very good. All the pizza's were under ten bucks and the beers were very reasonable priced as well. Overall, this is a truly hidden jem that I will definitely return to in the future.

a- exactly what i expected to see in ber'k. nice place lots of personality.
q- the beers are really good. i was impressed with the fact that they are all so good. i had the bourbon barrel imperial stout,soulfire,atomic punk ipa, and the porter. all great.
s- a-ok
s- great selection, they hit many different styles and all are delicious so you really dont need an extra 20 to woo you.
f=we had the "steve-o inferno" pizza with kielbasa added to it, the "margherita" and the "curd & Some kind of sausage(cant remember). the pizzas were great-crispy crust, just enough toppings and great textures the ingredients really worked well together.
v- the beers and pizzas were priced below what i expected.

Stopped here today with grassblue on the way home from Selins Grove and really enjoyed myself. The bar itself seats roughly 15 people, there are about 4 tables in the front corner, and a big german style picnic table in the back room! Lots of old beer memorabilia everywhere. If you look behind the bar you see the walkway to the brewery portion of the building.

The quality of the brews we drank here ranged from good to very good. The service was friendly and attentive (thanks Steve!) and the selection was small but solid. Food was very good and very inexpensive! I had a $5 cheese steak with onions, peppers, and mushrooms! I also split a delicious Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Jager Sausage pizza that didn't disappoint for $9. The music was lots of jam band and blue grass stuff which was fine by me. The venue features live bands on weekends and just had a great vibe going for it!
As indicated above, prices were great! Growler fills ranged from $7-$12 (+ $4.25 + tax for the glass). I tried all of the beers...Lager, Hefeweizen, porter, punk ipa, octoberfest, etc.

A nice new stop for me that I'll be back to indeed!

A- This is set at a old Bakery. Wood work and brick. Very Rustic. Love it enough said.

Q-Very good so far enough things going on between the bar and the other room with live bands and a cool beer garden.

S-No problem here very nice people on staff so far.

S-Very good keeping at least 5 to 6 beers on tap all the time. Got your wheat , Lager, IPA, Porter , Stout on tap.

F-Crazy pizza dishes yummy Wisconsin cheese curds and sausage.

V- Yes very affordable worth a trip when you are in PA to check this place out.

Berwick Brewing Company is a very rustic brick building. I went on the first night of their concert tent party. They had live music out back for most of the night. It was pretty entertaining outside. The indide was pretty bare as far as decorations go. I'm not sure if they were trying to fix the inside when I was there but it seemed like they were moving many things around. There was three bars inside that I counted, and they had kegs outside as well. Only the main bar however was open that night probably due to the outside jam. The beer at this joint is very good. Everything I sampled that night(Porter, Keller Beer, Amber Ale, IPA and Wheat Beer) were genuine quality beers, comparable with many other fine brew pubs. The growlers and their fill ups were pretty cheap as well. The only thing that cost a bit steep was the Bratworsts. They were 5 bucks a piece. Overall a good bar especially if you have a big group with you.
