On tap at the brewpub. Arrives in a standard shaker glass. The stout appears a dark brown color with about an inch of creamy tan foam. Nose and aromas are of milk chocolate, a hint of smoke, medium roasted grain, unsweetened bakers chocolate comes though as the beer warms. There is a mild sourness that stays with you into the finish. Light bitterness with ample carbonation and adequate body considering the low ABV. Quite flavorful overall and certainly worth a try.

On tap at Berwick Brewing Co. on 5/15/11.
A - Dark coffee brown with deep amber tones around the edges and a creamy tan head that reduced to a thin ring and sparse, swirly patch on top, yielding a splash of lace around the glass.
S - Roasty malt with a hint of chocolate and coffee. Light herbal and earthy hop notes round out the aroma.
T - Flavor is dry and roasty up front with coffee bitterness that is enhanced by a tinge of herbal, earthy hops. A hint of chocolate develops in the backend, lending a touch of sweetness, although the finish is pretty dry and bitter overall.
M - Thin bodied bordering medium with prickly carbonation and a hint of oily texture. Finish is dry with roasty astringency and hint of bitterness on the palate.
D - Solid light bodied, low ABV stout with lots of roasty character and dry hoppiness.
