Sampled at the Cambridge Beer Festival 2008
Appearance: light aple juice in color, smallish head
Smell: hoppier than expected, little in the way of typical wheat beer aromas. smells like a wheat beer brewed with the usual house yeast
Taste: again - hoppier than expected, no malt character to speak of, light fruitiness, but unbalanced
Mouthfeel: light body, undercarbonated
Drinkability: mediocre, even for the style

Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Pale golden colour. Lovely citrussy sweet aroma, hints of honey. Some natural carbonation, zesty. Some wheat character. A nice hoppy bitterness throughout. Another great session beer from Oakham.

Found this one on cask at Brooklyn's Spuyten Duyvil, during their wonderful "Yeast fest" . Pours cloudy, hazy, yellowy, light golden amber, with a loose, larger bubble white head, leaving loads of foamy, thick lacing. Mild nose of malt and some zesty citrus. This is a very pleasant, light and easy drinking British wheat beer. Soft citric notes and smooth maltyness. Light and refreshing. Fine summer quaffer.

Tasted this beer by half-pint at the recent Catford Beerfestival in London.
It pours a hazy, pale-yellowish hue, with a sustaining sponge-like head full of big bubbles. The nose is very citrusy zesty, with some pungent, acidic mead-like aroma and "floating" fruity hops at the back. A very intensive and colourful nose. On palate, there is grapefruit juicy flavour, with lightly bitter taste of crushed grapefruit seeds, leading to a very rich, lingering, three-dimensional bitter finish. The overall structure of this beer is quite clear, with an initially sharp, zesty mouthfeel turning settled and deeply bitter...just sensational. An abosolutely one-is-not-enough, delicious wheat beer.

This beer is very, very dry, a real citrus-sharp flavour which I found attractive. It's also very refreshing, and slips down very well. What surprised me when it was delivered was how clear it was... when ordering a wheat beer you don't expect it to be so bright. I wonder if it's filtered. Whatever, I liked it a lot and it's recommended.

Really agreed with me. Aromatic citric hops. Long, dry, grapefruity, bitter finish, refreshing, tasty.Like a German Wheat, only very English tasting. Fragrant, fresh and with a nice dry finish, very pleasant to drink, although not hugely complex, well made (Cask KentBF 03')
