The beer pours a cloudy orange color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of some farmhouse funk as well as some orange citrus and wheat notes. Very inviting. The flavor is more of the same. I get some hay, grass and grain notes as well as some orange citrus and other tropical fruit notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very easy to drink and very refreshing.

Poured from a 12 oz can, into a footed tulip.
A: Orange-ish golden hue. Pours a quarter finger, bubbly, white head. Dissipates very quickly. Very sparse lacing.
S: Orange, cherry, and raspberry with a little bit of breadiness.
T: White bread and hay. Accentuated with very slight hints of fruity sweetness.
M: Light but does have something of a syrupy texture. The little bit of fruit accentuates, come out in the finish and linger momentarily on the palate.
D: Not much resistance, but does have something of a savoring quality.
Atmosphere is pretty decent. Interesting hue, slight head, and very little lacing. Nose is fruity and bready... well-balanced. Bready flavor accentuated with just a faintness of fruit. Light, crisp, and well-orchestrated. Overall, this is a good quaff.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
For whatever reason, "Walloon" always sounded like an insult of sorts to me. Anyway, this stuff pours a lightly hazy brass-gold topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises light Belgian yeast, very light biscuit, light banana peel, and a light twinge of lemon peel. The taste brings in more of the same, though now the flavors are a touch brighter, and there's a hint of coriander in the air (the air in my mouth, anyway). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a solid little farmhouse ale; nothing special by any means, but I could see enjoying this from time to time.

A - From can to pint glass, pours with minimal violence, leaving an orange fog with a mealy, white head. Lace dissipates and descends quickly
S - Wheat and Citrus aroma, resembling a Hefe.
T - A subtle Saison, but simplified.
MF - hits a midpoint as far as weight goes, with little gas.
O - Southern Star puts out year-rounds that are more exciting. This beer, although not on par with the others in it's class, will definitely serve as a Gateway beer into the craft world for all those BMC devotees.

Can to Stemmed Tulip
12oz
No canning date
Thanks to Shoky_01 for this
App- A cloudy mix of oranges, yellows, gold and a little bit of white. A bit hazy and not easily see through. A nice one finger white capped head is there and then gone. Doesnt really leave any cling either.
Smell- Its a saison but just smaller. Has some citrus, wheat, yeast and a little bit of a hay aroma. Smelled nice enough, but was just kinda there.
Taste- I really wish I wouldve had a supply of this in So.Cal when it was 100+ degrees out. This really hit the spot. All the nice flavors and layers of a Saison but just toned down, so you dont get knocked on your ass. Was a bit wet instead of dry and added a bit of citrus as well.
Mouth- A nice lighter medium body with a fairly medium to high carbonation. A bit smooth and wet on the finish. Residual yeast, hay and citrus flavors.
Drink- This was really tasty. I enjoyed it alot. I might have to search out more for the style. Good beer.
