A – Burnt orange with a very small bright white head. Lacing was present till the last drop.
S – Lots of citrus, lemon, orange, and grapefruit were all present. Very little funk in the nose. Some coriander and possibly nutmeg.
T – Very sweet for a sour beer, had a nice citric acid bite and some green apple tartness too.
M – Medium bodied, a little on the sweeter side but not too much. Carbonation was very active and nice.
O – After reading the description I was a little worried since I really don’t like heavily spiced beers. I think the wild yeast help to mask a lot of the heavy spices which was really nice. I think they added some depth but weren’t over powering like I expected.

I loved this sour number, served up fresh at Birreria at Eataly in NYC. The aroma, color and froth were just what I'd expect from a Belgian style sour, and the mouthfeel and flavor were outstanding. Not too thin and acidic like many sours, this beer deserves a second helping... no wait, I mean I deserve a second helping of this beer, and did.

Poured from tap into snifter at Avenue Pub NOLA. Pours a slightly brown/bronze golden color with no head or lacing, and no carbonation at all. Sour and funk aromas but grape dominates. Slightly sour and funky lager like with lots of grape flavors...almost white wine or grape skin. Slightly sweet but finishes sour and tart. Nice easy brew and pleasant. I Wish it was as sour as the nose suggests but still nice. One of the more unique brews ive had in a while and my first from Birrifico. Questa birra fa grande. Cent'annti!

Poured out of a bottle at Max's today.
The beer pours a somewhat light gold color with fairly good head retention and light lacing. The nose is OK, with something of a soapy clove aroma, and then some underlying nutmeg. It's pretty good, actually. The flavor profile replicates the nose, with minimal soap flavor and plenty of spice, wheat and clove. The beer is fairly dry, with some light honey overtones, but clearly dominated by the underlying spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fairly long, spice infused finish. The beer is juat a bit watery in the finish, but given the relatively low abv., that's almost to be expected.
While nothing extraordinary, this is still a pretty solid beer. It's main problem is the price, which in this market is absurb. Even during the Italian festival at Max's, a 10 ounce glass was $8. That's just too much to spend for this beer.
