250ml bottle. Shaker glass. Golden color, clear appearance. Close & lasting crown of white foam. Citric aromas & slight tartar notes. Slight sour fruit -grapefruit, granny Smith apples, some white grape- at first followed by piney bitterness. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily to watery texture. Fruity & bitter flavor in the middle linger into a long finish.

Very malty beer, with a great smell and strong taste, heavily spiced. 7.5 ABV, but it's well balanced. Lots of yeast on the bottom, it starts to get a bit too "heavy" after a while. As usual from Baladin, a balanced beer, very good without trying to anything strange on the taste.

Light orange color, slightly veiled, good carbonation. Off-white foam, quickly falling to some big ugly bubbles.
In the smell malt and honey, white flowers, but after that, some not completely pleasant note, a bit unfresh.
Not better in the mouth, malty, full, heavy. Too strong honey, ripe fruit, low drinkability.
Same for the aftertaste, quickly tiring.
Also drunk it on-tap, it was a bit better in freshness, but still not exciting.

A 250ml bottle with a BB of March 2012, so it's out of date. I didn't realise this when I bought it a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh - grrr... The moulded bottle is quite attractive though, and the name is frankly mystifying.
Poured into a Delirium chalice. A hazy orange-amber hue with good carbonation and lots of chunky floating sediment. Yields a small head of dense white foam that lasts for a couple of minutes before reducing to a surface layer. Aroma of fruity yeast and aromatic hops; notes of orange, citrus, yeast esters and a whiff of alcohol.
Tastes of fruity yeast with a hoppy character and a dry finish. Notes of earthy yeast esters, spicy citrus, stewed hops and a warming hint of booze in the background. Pretty dry upon swallowing, with a restrained bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied, with tingly carbonation. Somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops and fruity yeast.
Not bad, although the yeast character does seem to dominate. I'd prefer it if the yeast took a back seat and the hops were more pronounced, but perhaps this is due to the age of the bottle. An interesting beer, and worth trying if you come across it.

Bottle at Beer Bistro. Comes on like an IPA, and then resolves into malt and a yeasty finish. More like a Belgian IPA. Orange flavours-Simcoe hops is a guess. Good drinkability, though not exceptional nor worth $35 plus tax and tip for 250 ml. Lacey and slight hop aromas.

750ml bottle, best before january 2013
A- Slighlty cloudy golden colour, with a quite huge, soft-looking white head that shows good retention and lacing. Very attractive beer
S- Sweet honey malts in evidence, with some fruity notes to back up (grapefruit, citrus). A fresh herbal presence on the back of things. Nice and refreshing, kind of faded really quickly
T- Starts sweet upfront, with honey and caramel malts. Fruity notes are pretty distinct as the smell suggested, expecially on the palate. Apple, citrus, pineapple nicely mixing with the beer's overall sweetness. A herbal/grassy feel shows up on the back of the palate and in the aftertaste, bringing a touch of lingering bitterness that makes you longing for another sip. Kinda reminds of an APA in terms of flavours, though not so much as this is actually quite on the sweet side
M- Quite light in body, actually very light for a 7.5% ABV beer, which i find to be quite common in Baladin beers. Average but delicate carbonation, the beer's overall feel is pretty smooth and slightly juicy
O- Refreshing and easy drinking beer, with a bit of a peculiar character that makes it quite interesting. Not really identifiable with one style
