On nitro tap in Bologna Baladin bar in a nice market.
Reddish wih an average head.
More on the caramel than the hops. I don't really think the nitro does good things for this one

On cask in Rome. Khaki head. Burnt amber orange color.
Sweetness with a lot of caramel flavor. Earth and grassy hops with floral notes but mainly malty. Bready and biscuity. Very soft and easy drinking. Well done.

I believe this is only available in cask form: but don't quote me!
Hand-pulled in Open Baladin, Rome on 10th Dec 2013. Well I had to try an Italian Bitter on cask didn't I? I'd already had an Italian Saison and Gose (to name but two brews).
Anyway, this poured a nice deep amber and had a white crown on top.
Malty front, middle and back: the molasses barely being held back by whatever hops were used. Treacle flavoured and rather sweet as a consequence, I liked it. Of course after the Gose anything was going to taste sweet, but this is a pretty malty molasses majoring beer even if you've just had a bag of sweets.
I like sweeter brews, this one was a little one sided and unbalanced, but I still enjoyed it, so much so the wife insisted we left to sight see again before I could order another.
