A - A bright and beautiful golden body with a slight cloudiness...a thin head develops and settles into a ring...not much lacing
S - Bread and yeast stand out...some fruits...and a slight alcohol aroma
T - Very sweet right off the bat...a big dose of the candied sugar...the taste becomes more complex with major fruit in the middle...a spicy bitterness to finish it off...the alcohol really comes out when the beer gets warm
M - Medium body that has a lot of complexity...you have to let it all mellow on your palate
D - Very drinkable...the alcohol is hidden well...a great balance between sweet and spicy...I will be having more from SGBC

Reviewed on 7/26/08. Growler shared by beerbill. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of bitter spices and Belgian yeast. Flavor of light spiced fruits (apple, pear), light sweetness with a bitter spicy finish. Very light and spicy, so easy to drink, more subdued than most tripels (a good thing, as it's not super spicy). WOW, I really enjoyed this beer! Nice and spritzy and light on the tongue.

This beer poured with a golden straw color with two-three fingers of white head that left a nice lace. The aroma of this beer has a strong fruit characteristic with bananas being able to be discern, it also smelled of yeast and had a strong smell of hops. The alcohol content of this beer is cleverly hidden in the sweet malt taste mixed with fruit and ending with the taste of hops. This beer is very well balanced and is one of my favorites.
