I do not know who initially added this place, but kudos to whomever it may have been.
A sign by the bamboo gated entry indicated that it opened back in 1944, but on the first two tries, it was closed tight. Dang it! The third time was the charm, however. I arrived in time to partake of the sumptuous lunch buffet that ran from 1000 weekends/1100 weekdays until 1400.
I was enthusiastically greeted from the moment that I walked onto the grounds and make no mistake, this was a complex with several roofed dining areas, numerous spitting fountains, gardens throughout and a general tropical ambiance, plus waterfalls. I saw a Chapel (!), plus I sat in the Café area, which was the bar. The bar was blonde Formica in an elongated "W"-shape. I laughed hearing Hawaiian Eye on the speakers. The restaurant seating seemed to encircle the entire complex. Indoor and outdoor weddings could be held there. There was a second floor for private parties, birthdays, receptions, and the like.
Zarina was my server.
