I admit it, the name attracted me along with the fact it is brewed locally.
Poured from a 22oz bomber into a stout glass.
A: Pours a deep dark opaque brown with a thick and dense tan head that is long lasting.
S: Peanut butter, chocolate, coffee and malty.
T: Interesting. First off the peanut butter followed by bittersweet chocolate and dark malts with a roasted coffee aftertaste.
M: Thick and satisfying. Not cloying.
O: I like this. Very interesting and different from the run of the mill stouts. I will buy this again.

On tap at Mcgrath's in Harrisburg. Pour is black with tight foamy mocha brown head. Nose is peanut butter brittle with a muted bakers chocolate. Taste is much of the same with a slightly off cardboard and ashy flavor behind. Dry bitter finish on a creamy body and slightly thinning out in the end.

DaveHack sent this bottle my way a few months back in a trade – thanks Dave! Poured from a 22 oz. bomber into my Half Acre snifter.
A – Pours a very dark brown that stops just short of being pitch black. A one-finger mocha head tops off the snifter. The head dissipates substantially right away, but a thin ring of foam sticks around throughout. Minimal lacing.
S – A nice roasted character, with some high-quality bitter chocolate malt in there as well. A vague nuttiness is also present, but I don’t think that I would be able to identify it as peanut butter per se.
T – A hoppy and roasted malt character is at the front end, before a dark bread follows. A cocoa sweetness and mild nuttiness too, but not much else that I can detect.
M – Pretty thin for a stout; I could definitely use a lot more body here, or at least a creamier texture to remind me more of the sticky quality of peanut butter. Instead, it finishes pretty dry. High amount of carbonation.
O – This was definitely an enjoyable stout, but to my tastes it didn’t achieve what it set out to do. Maybe the peanut butter qualities were more evident in a fresh bottle, but I didn’t get much of that here. Oh well, I still appreciate the chance to try something different. Thanks again Dave!

A - Pours pitch black with an extremely creamy, toffee colored head!
S - Cream, cocoa powder, vanilla, light caramel.
T - Cocoa powder, vanilla cream, dark roasted chocolate , and some caramel. Finishes with a moderate dark chocolate bitterness intermingled with creme.
M - Mild pricklies with a creamy finish.
O - A nice, creamy stout with a good balance between biterrness.
