Poured into my Heineken Mug at 50.
Appearance: A two finger head that has a persistent head that left lacing on the glass. The color of the head is medium tan that is foamy and creamy The color of the beer is dark brown, like used motor oil. The clarity of the beer is opaque.
Nose: A dark malt with chocolate, caramel, biscuit, and bread. Other aromas are fruity esters, coffee, alcohol, phenols, molasses, and an earthy tone.
Taste: A dense rich roasted malt with chocolate, caramel, and biscuit. Other flavors is bread, fruity esters, coffee, alcohol, phenols, and molasses.
The mouth feel of the beer is coating, carbonated, and warm.
Overall: The body of the beer is medium and the finish is full. This is a good chocolate stout, but there is not a thick body to the beer. The body of the beer needs more oomph. Great flavors and very flavorful.

A – Pours a midnight black with a healthy 2 finger mocha colored head. The head fades to a nice ring around the glass. Really nice sticky lacing is present.
S – Smells like bitter dark chocolate with small hints of coffee and roasted malt.
T – Nothing over the top, the bitter dark chocolate was present. Lots of dark roasted malt. No hop bitterness detected at all in this beer.
M – Nice full bodied beer with really nice carbonation for that extra tingle on the tongue.
O – Overall this was a really nice stout from Springhouse minus the extra ingredients he normally tosses into the mix. I really enjoyed this and look forward to getting some more.

A: The beer is very dark brown (near black) in color and poured with a thin tan head.
S: There are light aromas of chocolate in the nose.
T: Flavors of coffee and vanilla captivate your taste buds; the finish has a chocolate aftertaste.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a light amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is very easy to drink because the alcohol is well masked. I would definitely try this again because all of the chocolaty flavors.

opaque black as night liquid with a very full two inch plus head of tan creamy and sticky foamy lace on top.
lots of aromas of lactose and chocolate and a bit of coffee. I almost picked up some licorice in there as well. First thing that hits you is the ton of lactose sugar and a wall of chocolate. Deep german dark chocolate mixed in with some bron sugar and a touch of coffee. Definatly some licorice in here too. Super creamy. It had ample carbonation which really hung around well throughout the sesson and helped to give it a really full feel.

Thanks to SBALDWIN for getting this to me nice and fresh.
The color was black and dense, no real head to speak of.
The aroma was light of roasted malt and chocolate.
The flavor is the real winner here. I particularly enjoyed the lack of sweetness, the nice dry intense chocolate flavor works really well.
Unfortunately the mouth feel was a little lacking, this was just a little too thin, it's too bad because the carbonation was spot on.
Drinkablity is right up there. All in all a pretty decent beer.
