This place is acceptable, in a pinch. They have an extensive selection of craft beers, and most of the standard releases are priced reasonably. It's just a warehouse looking place on the inside. Beware, however, that there have been a number of reports that the price of a beer marked on the shelf can often ring up differently at the register, so make sure to check your receipt before walking out the door. This place also has the reputation of marking up limited release selections significantly, over other area retailers. As far as customer service, you're not going to find anyone AT ALL in the store who has any idea about any of the beer in the store. So don't even bother asking anyone about anything. There is no help walking the aisles. Only the people at the cash register to ring you up... who may or may not argue with you about a refund if you point out a mistake on the receipt.
*edit - changing value to $$$$ after they put CBS on their website for $99.99 a bottle!

I visited Randall's for the first time about a week ago.I had been on the phone with them numerous times trying to narrow down my shopping list.I originally called them looking for '09 Nemesis and was ecstatic when they told me they had multiple 4 packs available.Charmane(not sure if spelling is correct)helped me out and was very knowledgeable.I purchased the Nemesis 4 pack($25.00),a Trappistes Rochefort 10 and a bomber each of Maharaja and Hog Heaven. The selection was good and service was sufficient. They carry all the usual suspects(Avery,Bells,New Holland,North Coast,Great Divide,Founders)but they also had an excellent selection of German and Belgian beers, including Achel(which is new to this market)and Lindeman's Faro.My only regret was that I didn't visit there before they had sold out of NH Dragon's Milk.Overall,an excellent resource for great beer.

I stopped by Randall's after hitting up the Buffalo Brewing Company, so I was a little buzzed and excited to stop in this huge hall of alcohol.
Immediately upfront there are tons of wines and hard liquors, but I eventually found the beer at the other end of the warehouse. The beer selection was huge but I didn't stick around too long to see what all they had. I definitely need to revisit!
The service was basically limited to the folks working the cash registers. There was a huge amount of customers, so there was little personal interaction. I didn't see anybody advising customers of their beers.
I bought a sixer of Old Foghorn, and it seemed to be reasonably priced, but I didn't really look at the other beer prices to compare and contrast.
Overall this is a huge place, and I wish I spent more than five minutes there. I would recommend at least a half an hour for the first time visitor to see what all beers they have to offer.

Came here after lunch at Mattingly's.
This is right of I-44 at Jefferson and is visible from the highway.
The selection was good size. All your major St. Louis options were represented. Schlafly, Founders, Avery, Sierra Nevada, Odell, Lagunitas, Anchor and a good selection of German and Belgian selections.
The service was good but not overbearing. I had one worker ask me if I needed help.
Overall, this is a nice place if you are in the area. I think the selection was still smaller than Friar Tuck and Lukas but still a good store.

Keep in mind that my ratings are based on other stores in St. Louis
Q - this place offers quite a bit of different micros, pretty much all that is available in St Louis (Schlafly, O-Fallon, Founders, Bells, New Holland, Arcadia, Odells, Great Divide, Avery, Goose Island just to name a few).
Service - as this place is reminiscent of giant warehouse, it feels like one can get isolated from others easily. I never really needed any service, but I was glad the guy ringing me up knew his Bells (I was buying their Rye Stout). I usually don't get that when I am buying my beer.
Selection - as mentioned under the quality, this place has a lot to offer. It seems like this place has more overall quantity than The Wine and Cheese Place, however TWCP trumps it in its variety. However, this place still has pretty much anything you want, just as long as it is distributed in MO.
Prices weren't high, nor were they low. I paid what I expected to pay and wasn't disappointed.
I would rank this just behind TWCP as far as selection goes, however I found it easier to locate stuff at Randall's. If you are downtown, this is closer than TWCP; if you are west of downtown, hit up TWCP. If you go to either, you will not be disappointed.

Just moved to St. Louis so i I used BA to find a good beer stroe close to my apt. Randall's turned out to be great. Its a big warehouse like place with a huge wine a liquor section which i browsed for a while.
The beer section is moderate in size but in my opinion made up for it in selection. There were a lot of domestic craft brews I had never seen especially form places in MO.
Service was rated 3 because at no point was i offered assistance. Although i usually don't like to be bothered.
They have a good selection compared to what I'm used to (originally form Puerto Rico, where Macros rule). Prices seemed fine to me.
I came away with bombers of SN HArvest Ale, a La Fin Du Monde, Hebrew Rye IPA and a Great Divde Belgian style wit.
I look forward to coming back later this week.

I put in an online order as they do ship to Wyoming. I just got my order today and it was packed very well..no chance of any breakage.
I have to say the whole experience with this order went super smooth and now, I'm looking at 4 bottles each of Dark Horse Brewing's Tres Blueberry Stout and Too Cream Stout and the price of the beers AND shipping didn't exactly send me to the poor house. I love it when that happens.
I noticed that some of the prices on their website looked to be a bit steep compared to the prices I've seen for the same beers on other websites but make of that what you will. I'm very pleased with the efficency of the folks at Randall's in how they processed my order. I'll do business with them again, no problems.

Randall's is located in a big old warehouse and has an impressive selection of American Craft and imported beers. There are no cold beers that I could find, but there were racks and racks of six packs and bombers. Mostly six packs though. American micros were grouped by brewer, while the imports were grouped by country. This place has most everything you would expect to find at a very large distributor, and a few things that I thought were unique, particularly among the American micros. Prices were as cheap as some of the least expensive places I've been to, and I would imagine that they probably have the best prices in the St. Louis area. Definitely a place to stock up at if you're in the area.

Part of the trick is finding this place. It sits behind another building and the signage isn't clear. Once you have found it though you are in for a treat. This place is a warehouse with a huge selection of wine, spirits, and of course, craft beer.
All the major players in the craft industry that distribute in Missouri are represented. The selection is good and I find on most things they have the best price, but that is not always true. They also have a decent selection of European beers. While finding knowledgeable staff, at least when it comes to beer, can be hit or miss, If you are on this site you probably do need a lot of assistance. If you do not see it, they do not have. I also like the way everything is shelved. I find it easy to browse.
They also have a small selection of home brewing supplies.

This is basically a warehouse with bare bones ambience, but who cares. Its got a good selection at reasonable prices. I found several beers that I cannot get at home (Virginia), including a couple things I have had on my wants, at least one of which is a discontinued old ale that could easily age for a while longer. When I finially found it, I did not hold high hopes and the beer is on the last aisle after quite a bit of liquor and wine. The selections of wine and beer were quite extensive though. A great place to pick up beer if you want a good selection. Service was shoddy though. I was basically ignored by the people roaming the floor and tending to the shelves. The cashier was very friendly though.
