Stopped here on a weekend, the barrel aging concept was prevalent throughout the taproom. It had a nice atmosphere, although the star here is the beer itself which is outstanding. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that is often the case with aged beers. Service was ok, but not exceptional which I had hoped with a place with beer of such high quality. Selection was ok, but nothing over the top or as varied in other places I've seen. I will stop here again for sure if in Omaha, which is likely now that I am in Nebraska and it is by far the best brewery in the state.

On day four of our cross country trip we took a small detour in Nebraska to make this stop at one of Vickie's favorite brewers. The brewpub is located in a modern, sprawling reail plex and is surprisingly small given the number of bottles they seem to put out. A nice place, clean and with both inside and outdoor seating and a decent sized bar area.
The sampler was very nice across the board (no pale ale for whatever reason). We went with an IPA, a hefeweizen, a red and a seasonal Belgian, all very nice. Food was solid but not exceptional. Service was very nice but unattentive. We had to go looking for the server whenever we wanted something. Oddly enough you can not buy merch at the pub, only online which was kind of a bummer.
On the whole though very nice people (the brewer and one of the owners stopped by to chat when they found out we were from out of town) and worth the hour or so detour for sure.

My wife and I stopped twice in Omaha for an overnight and came here for beer and dinner when passing through town on a vacation trip (coming and going). The pub is located in a newish retail area with multiple store buildings with exterior entrances, and not the standard enclosed mall setting. The interior setting tends toward a new, sterile feeling, but the sitting area where the bar is located has a good vibe to it. There is also a patio.
We ordered a sampler so that we could try all of their beers, and 8 beers were included. We typically don't enjoy the light-flavored beers (Blonde, Wit and a Wheat), but we drank them so that we could evaluate them to style. Each was brewed very close to their respective style, and all of them were tasty. I liked Hop God (a Belgiany IPA) the best. The brewery has a barrel-aged line of beers (I think it was 4 of them), but none were available on tap (carry-out only in 22 oz bottles, plus bottles of the Hop God.)
The food menu has enough items on it so that anyone coming here would find something to their liking, and all of it sounded very good. We were quite satisfied with our selections.
If we stop in this area again we'll definitely come back here.

Tyson Arp (Head Brewer) and his wife, Angela are some of the nicest people on earth! Wonderful beers of which their Hop God aged in French Oak Chardonnay barrels stands to rank in my Top 10 of all time. 2013 marks an enormous growth, as they are expanding to include a production facility and will be canning (4) of their flagship brews. I wish them all the best and thank them for all of the hospitality.

Enjoyed this pub on our mid-west pub crawl this summer. Located in the mall, although there is supposed to be two of these around. The beer samples were tasty and the food was good too. Had hamburgers, fries, salads, steak within our group of 5. The samplers came with 7 samples, NE Blonde, Infinite Wit, EOS wheat, Brunette Nut Brown Ale, Cardinal Pale Ale, IPA and Rye.
Fun place, couldn't believe people come here and order bud light, oh well. Only disappointment is they were out of shot glasses, which we like to collect on our trips as memorabilia.

Nebraska Brewing is on the outskirts of Omaha in Papillion, Nebraska in a big mall across the street from Dick's Sporting Goods. This is definitely the best brewpub I've visited that's in a mall. Brewpubs in malls tend to be on the Granite City variety--technically a brewpub but not very inventive. NB is clearly not in this category.
Long dark wood beer is inviting and the brewery is well displayed behind glass. Hard working brewery staff with work apparent in the brewhouse, including putting on labels on bottles by hand at one of the big tables on the slow afternoon.
For lunch, I had the four cheese spent grain pizza. Cheese combo is good on top of the thin, grainy crust. Fresh grated parmesan if you want that works very well. Offered a personal and full size, which is much appreciated. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but very good and hits the spot today nicely.
At the bar, a marine was on his second day of retirement and enjoying a sandwich with "death sauce." Evidently the super-hot habanero death sauce can come on wings and other items. I did not try it myself since I had a long day ahead of me.
From stickers on one tank and flags on the wall, the bar seems to be a local for many from the military base. When asked, the bartender didn't really categorize NB as a military bar, but many of the regulars stop in on the way home from the base and there's clearly a supportive relationship between the bar and those that serve our country.
I can see NB's famous Melange a Trois and Fathead Barleywine in bottles, so will go home with those for sure to end a very nice first stop in Nebraska. Added Black Betty as a last minute impulse buy. Of my samples, I really liked Hop God, which is basically a Belgian IPA. Listed as a trippel crossed with west coast IPA, Hop God has plenty of hops that are supported by a yeasty Belgian funk to make it very interesting.
Easily my best stop of the day in Nebraska, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Nebraska Brewing.
