I visit Glens Falls perodically for work and from a friends advice, I stopped in...twice.
The first visit was on the night of my arrival. I sat down for my food when a gentleman came by and was talking to other patrons about the beer they had to offer. I then had to speak to him and found out that he is the owner/brewer of the bar! Rick was AWESOME to speak to. We talked beer and life until my food threatened to get cold so we stopped to continue later in the night; after I had more beer.
All of the beers were good, OK (sorry Rick) I didnt really like the ESB but what the hell. Still not a bad beer, but not as bitter as I would have liked.
The service was really good with a few younger kids who were fun to talk to and mess around with but were pretty much on their toes to serve you.
The beer selection and the food selection was nice. They pretty much had something for everyone. I ordered the Steak Tips the first night and was blown away. It also went well with the MegaHop IPA I was sipping on.
All in all, this was the best experience I have ever had in Glens Falls. Great staff, great food and beer, and not bad for the money.

A very nice place located in the heart of Glens Falls, near the civic center, the downstairs has a high open ceiling that makes the smallish space feel much bigger than it is. A dining room (and some video games) are located upstairs. I sat at the bar for lunch on friday.
I thought it was surprisingly empty for friday at 1 oclock. Service was good. A knowledgeable bartender. 9 of their own beers on tap, dated with ABV on a chalkboard. Fairly standard upstate NY pub grud, the burger and fries were solid, if not outstanding. Average prices as well.
Had a few of their beers, which were all tasty.
Definately a place I would return to on my next trip through.

The brewpub was located downtown Glens Falls, NY in an old style building with a nice window store front look peeking in on the brewing equipment. The pub itself was pretty basic of most brewpubs that I've visited. There was a decent sized bar area with quite a few taps of the house brews along with open seating at tables throughout that were spread out nicely from each other. The beer was pretty good also. I had their stout and ipa. The atmosphere was nice; not a lot of people there, but enough to keep the place profitable. I went early in the week around lunch time. The menu was better than average. Of course, they had the beer sampler, which I decided not to do. The appetizers were the usual, wings, quesedilla, etc. except for a delicious chedder stout soup. I ordered that and a plate of their boneless battered winglets. They served them in three styles mild, hot, and black death. I chose the black death and payed the price for it. They were quite tasty, but felt like I had consumed a small bottle of Drano. Anyway, this was a fine establishment with courtious servers and a good menu; not to mention the wide array of good house beers. The only bad thing. You couldn't buy bottled beer to go.

Nice place! Right on the main drag in Glens Falls which has changed a real lot since I was last there 20 years ago! We sat at the bar (do you sense a trend?) but after lunch we did go up and check out the second floor dining room. Nice. Dark wood, cool old-timey decorations. I had the Strong Ale, ESB and IPA. The Oatmeal Stout is still very good. The appetizers we had to eat were quite tasty too! Bartender was knowledgeable about the 30+ beers that were on tap and, when we bought our commemorative Davidson's pints, he even gave us one free! Neat idea - the Quality Control Club. For $55/year you get a newsletter and 22 oz beers for the price of a pint. Special nights throughout the year too. The sampler was unique too - a wooden disk with cutouts to hold the small pilsner glasses. Their logo was featured in the middle of the disk. We usually hit this once a year on our way to the track. Well worth the visit.

Finally made it to this place though I've lived less than an hour away for a couple years now. Great old building smack-dab in the middle of a historic downtown area of Glens Falls. Food was hit-and-miss. (i.e. the buffalo chicken soup was stellar, whereas the nachos were less than impresisve) However, they do have fried pickles which this is the first brew pub on this coast that I've seen them on the menu. Yea!
Their beer selection is pretty good. They have their year-round selection- pale, brown, etc., but also throw in some saucy brews such as a Scotch ale.
If in the area, I'll be stopping by here again.

Fairly good Prices. Awesome thick velvety cheddar and stout soup. Nice wood layout, beautiful terrace between 2 buildings receives light day well. Familial atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Overall a nice place to stop by in upstate NY if in no way a standout and must stop. Located around 1 hour north of albany, 5 minutes from the highway with a nice parking lot in the back. My main complaint has to be the beer list which shows no place for experimental stuff, the most out of the mainstream alley being an oatmeal stout, which is well made by the way.

Went here after taking my son to a show at the Glens Falls Civic center. It's in a great part of town and in the middle of everything. The restaurant is small & quaint, but very homey. The enviroment is perfect for families or the night life. The quality of everything is great. The service was a little slacking and it took forever to get our drinks. The food was also amazing. The portions are huge and I had an appetizer for dinner they were so big. Pricing is great and the tasting flight was definitely worth the price. A must stop if you're in the area.

Arrived just as the pub openned on our way up to Lake Placid. Was looking to get a growler of smoked porter which I got.
We didn't eat here here but my wife and I did at one time maybe ten years ago.
The place looks very inviting. I was talking to the bartender while he was filling my growler and it's a pretty old building, 1864 I believe he said and was an old textile factory. Lots of brick and exposed wooded beams. Looks nice. You can purchase some sixpacks of thier beers to if you like also.

On a snowy Saturay afternoon, went to Davidson Bros to enjoy lunch and a sampler of six of their beers.
The place has a nice pub feel. The servers were pretty quick and helpful with the beer menu. All the beers were good, some better than others. (I liked their Irish Red and Porter the best.) They all come in relatively large servings, so I could skip around and compare/contrast flavors.
I got the Bison burger which was declicious. They make their own potato chips on premises, and they were crispy and excellent. The food prices were a little high, but the lunch I had as worth the price.
It's a really nice place to spend an afternoon. Better than average beer, and excellent food.

Spent a week in the Lake George area and had this place on the list of things to do while there. When I arrived with family in tow I was taken with the cool, outside dining in the waling alleyway experience that the place had. The mgr Harry ended up taking care of us due to the roll of the dice and it was great. We had the regular IPA that my wife and I were taken with - a nice, drinkable English style IPA that could be used as a session easily. Harry was more than willing to get me samples as I wanted and I had their very smooth and creamy Scotch ale and then their Mega Hop IPA as my second pint. I bought a case of their IPA for the vacation as well. The food was varied and delicious. I had a Thai tuna wrap that was outstanding and their sweet potato fries. The whole vibe there was so great that we all went back a second time two days later and had a repeat experience. The entire city has that old timey USA look and feel to it. Kudos to Harry and the other servers as they were all attentive and more than willing to make sure we had a great time.
