The beer pours a light golden color with a nice white lace head. The nose is of butterscotch and ringwood yeast. Where is the hop aroma? I smell what I think are English noble hops. It's a good finish, but comes up short in my book. This style calls for more hopping in not only bittering, but flavor and aroma as well. The taste is good. This beer is a more than adaquate golden ale, but not a very convincing IPA. The mouthfeel is average. The beer is plenty drinkable. I would think that the abv is around 5% or slightly under. It feels weak. Overall, a good drinking beer. "Great taste, less filling," no wait that's something else. entirely. I love to see these brewpubs making their beers available to consumers other than the regular pub crawlers.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, caramel-copper coloring with a thin, sparse, filmy white surface head. Slow, steady flow of carbonation bubbling throughout. Aromas of tangy caramel backbone and floral hops highlights. Very tangy sweet nose. Flavors are roasted, with a rich caramel and nut backbone supporting a peppery spiced and floral hops presence. Very dry hop characteristics on this brew. Slightly resiny aftertaste, with pepper and bitterness overtaking any of the sweetness from the palate. Very concise, clean finish. This one hits me more like an English IPA than American, but either way it's well balanced and very sessionable, for an IPA.

Pours a clean yellow to orange-ish in color with an off white head. In the aroma, orange citrus rind hops. In the taste, a small dryness of citrus hops, and quite watery. A small bite, but mainly smooth and a lighter to thin mouthfeel, with a small dry orange rind in the aftertaste. Decent nose, but quite thin and watery.

A-nice amber color with a white head and good lacing
S-malty, light citrus, hints of fruit
T-malt, slightly metallic taste, somewhat sweet and fruity, light hop presence with minimal bitterness in the finish
F-light to medium body with moderate carbonation
O-not much to distinguish it from the mass produced beers

A - 3.5 - Pours a medium copper color with an evenly creamy with an 1/8 inch of foam and gentle bubbles.
S - Grainy, earthy aroma with light pine and citrus, has a slight bit of musty dankness.
T - Follows the nose with grainy, earthy dankness, toasted caramel malt up front which gradually migrates to a lemony, citrus grapefuit, and pine bite. Taste is unrefined, harsh, and too grainy like a macro beer.
M - Medium light body with a little watery character, coats the mouth with a grainy coating.
O - Glad I could try this one but it's grainy, harsh, and messy. I hate to be so down on this beer but I would be more than willing to try it again and revisit this review.
