Bottled 11/19/2012:

Into a nonic:

A: hazy golden colored body that leaves a one finger white foamy head and lasts for about a minute before slowly dieing into the body. It left decent spider web lacing around the sides of the nonic.

S: hops up front and the malts came out a bit as the beer warmed

T: bitter and as it warmed a bit, got a bit sweeter through the malts

M: medium with some sharpness on the tongue. It coated the mouth fairly well and was mostly drinkable

O: this is an average American IPA. I'd probably only come back to it depending upon what else was served.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass, dated 11/19/12. Pours a reddish orange, with a half inch white head, some lace. Smell is faint tangerine, cut grass, and pine. Taste is more aggressive, with some grapefruit and carmel coming into play. Body is medium, enough carbonation, a little dry, and very drinkable. This is pretty good for a sessionable IPA.

Appearance: Nice golden orange color with a huge pillowy sudsy head that actually stuck around and left some decent lacing. Very nice overall

Smell: Given that this was around room temperature, the smell was remarkably lackluster. Vague cereal notes with only the faintest hint of piney hops. I have very little desire to drink this after smelling it.

Taste: Light grain taste with no hop flavor at all. A harsh bitterness in the back of the mouth that is really unpleasant given the lack of hoppiness

Mouthfeel: Not bad at all.. medium to high carbonation with a relatively light body. No complaints here

Overall: The bitterness in this brew seemed medicinal rather than hoppy. It's not entirely undrinkable, but there are so many good choices out there that put this to shame for a lot less money.

22oz bomber from RSVP in Portland Maine, poured into SA Boston Lager glass...

A - clear slightly darker than golden color, light loose 1 finger head with some large bubbles. A lot of apparent carbonation. Head died quickly, little lacing.

S - smell is a very mild balance of slight pine hop and a nice malt character. Hop aroma is not as present as I would want in an ipa.

T - the taste is on par with the smell, flavor hops are present but weak, slight pine character. Bittering hops are ample and provide a good finish. Malt character provides a lot of body, and rounds it out well to make this more of a balanced ipa instead of the hop forward ones I crave. I also picked up on a slight fruity character, which adds a lot to this and makes me want to take another sip.

M - on the higher end of the carbonation spectrum, medium body, very, very easy drinking.

Overall - For IPAs, and beers in general for that matter, this is a very simple straightforward beer... Not complex at all but very easy drinking and quenching my thirst. It is more of a really bitter APA. The hop character just isn't there, I don't care if they list 6 different varieties of hops on the bottle, it's not there. Although I was less satisfied with the hop profile... I was satisfied with its drinkability, balance, and slight fruity taste. I would probably jump to this if it was on tap somewhere and I was eating a burger.

Pours a mild copper color with a frothy head into my glass. Middle of the road color but that is rarely as important.

Piney hop note with a touch of baked bread underneath. Mellow. Nothing too wild, too dull, etc.

Tasty with a good dose of pine on the tongue and some baked buttery bread. At least it nailed this part of the review.

Lingering buttered bread and pine hop notes make up the mouthfeel. Carbonation is weak but in this case, a welcome thing.

No nonsense IPA that will quench your thirst. I do hope that they have something more interesting to bottle as I can't see myself buying this again.

Pour - rich caramel in color, foggy, cant really see through to the other side. Poured with little to no head

Smell - a rich caramel with a light clover hint to it

Taste - no where near what i thought for an IPA. very little hops. It has a caramel + clover flavor to it. Reading other review, i just have to disagree. On a scale of 1 to 10 in hops it would be 2 in my opinion. It is medium bodied with a smooth finish.

Overall I would not get this beer again, especially if i was in the mood for an IPA.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Golden darker amber color, clear. About four fingers of off white head with heavy lacing on the glass.

Smell: Smells sweet, and I could smell the bitter hops in the backround.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Medium bodied, sweet tasting up front with a very strong bitter bite in the middle. A strong bitter after taste with a hint of sweetness.

Overall: Not bad, but I don't think I will by this one again.

On tap. Sampled during a tasting on June 17, 2012. The color of the pour is medium amber with a thin head that diminishes fast and becomes a ring. The aroma is a collaboration of malts, yeast, citrus, and a slight hop distinction. The body was a bit under medium but smooth. Lingering hop bitterness is the key feature in the taste with a citrus, or more specific, grapefruit flavor. For a warm day it would be pleasant.

22oz bottle served in a standard shaker pint.

pours a cloudy amber tone while yielding about a 1" beige/off-white head; decent retention and lacing. nose is middling; lacks that big, aromatic hoppiness i look for in my IPAs. muted pine and caramel malt.

flavor mostly follows the aroma. decent, drinkable IPA but won't raise many eyebrows: pine/floral hops balanced with caramel malt; secondary notes of citrus and even funk. medium-bodied mouthfeel with slightly below average carbonation.

overall this is a middle-of-the-road IPA. wouldn't turn it down if offered but with so many options out there i can't see seeking it out for a revisit.

No Name IPA pours a clear amber into the glass with a moderate sized, stiff white head on top. The foam leaves a lot of netted lace on the glass as it fades away.

The aroma is subtle. It has bready notes of caramel and toast with hints of pine mixed in.

Each sip of this medium bodied beer is creamy with light, effervescent carbonation. The flavor is much like the aroma, malty with light citrus and pine. Caramel, hints of bread and malt sweetness begin each sip. Towards the end some lemon citrus and a touch of pine appear. It finishes bitter with lingering caramel sweetness when gone.

An easy drinking IPA that could use a touch more hoppy flavor.
