The colour is brown; the liquid clear. The finger thick head is compact.
The smell is sweet and malty with some bitter hints. A bit simple, I think.
The first flavours are hoppy, but they pass quickly leaving room for a mild clean bitterness. Lots of nuts and some milk chocolate. At times, the flavours are a bit too weak. Roasted flavours and a gentle sweetness in the aftertaste, as well as notes of fruit-flavoured candy and some background bitterness. The finish is a little frowsy.
The carbonation is mild, the bubbles are hardly noticeable. The liquid is light and somewhat dry in the feel.
Well, this is an English brown ale, and... I found it hard to appreciate the style.
