I got this bottle (in a sixpack) from an Austrian man i know. I was in Austria last week and i got a sixpack of this beer. Drank one of the bottles in the lovely village of Neustift in the Stubai valley.
Poured out of the bottle into a wine glass, did not have the appropiate glassware with me. Nice and big head, not very spectacular. The smell is very normal with a bit caramellic malts in the nose. Taste is not very spectacular when you compare this one with other dark beers.
Glad i got to try this one and that's it!

The colour is very dark brown; almost black (40 EBC). When looking through the clear liquid with the help of a bulb, I notice some flakes of something floating around in the glass. The two finger head is warm beige; it leaves quite a lot of lacing when it sinks down.
The smell is semi-sweet and roasted with elegant bitter flavours. Clean lager-y notes with hints of soy sauce and hints of coffee and pumpernickel.
The taste is sweet and quite thin. Roasted, almost burned notes. Metallic-citric bitter notes. The sweetness grows and becomes sort of artificial. Some fruity hints, berries and a touch of coconut. The body is thin. The aftertaste is short and overly sweet with some nutty notes and a hint of yeast/earth.
The carbonation is medium strong; the short-lived bubbles are medium sized. The liquid is semi-smooth.
I think this beer was way too sweet. Otherwise, it was a quite plain Schwarzbier.

Dark brown, with some reddish edges. Beige head, quite creamy.
Very light smell, some roast, a bit of hazelnut. Easy.
Easy in the taste, too, again roast malt, and a touch of light liquorice in the back.
Not undrinkable, not bad. But for sure not unforgettable.
Touches of liquorice in the aftertaste.
Again, too light.
