On tap at the brewpub in Wausau. Dispensed via nitrogen.
A: great creamy head, opaque
S: great nose, roasted
T: creamy nitrogen with roasted malt, almost bourbon barrel in quality
M: creamy, rich, easy drinking which isn't surprising for a nitrogen poured beer

Had this on-tap and from a growler. Poured into a pint glass. It pours a dark brown that appears black and opaque in the glass. A 1/4 inch dark tan head forms and reduces to a nice mild lacing.
The aroma is a bit weak with some mild milk chocolate notes and a bit of earthiness. A bit of coffee is also present, more prominent as it warms.
The taste again has that milk chocolate blend with some coffee and a bit more rye than was present in the nose.
The mouthfeel medium bodied and finishes a bit thin with a hint of dryness. A bit more carbonation than I would prefer, but smooth.
Overall, this is an okay beer and I can drink it without too much difficulty, but not something I would particularly seek out.
