A: Dark murky amber with golden candy colored edges.
S: Touch of booze and funk lingering from the barrel, along with sweet, carmel, toffee, raisin and fig. Very inviting.
T: A multilayered malt complexity with just a hint of booze and hop balance, then WHAM... Sweet toffee, vanilla, butterscotch, dried fruits. Once the sweetness kicks in, any hint of hops or booze is neutralized by the complex balance.
M: Medium body that coats your palate with a sweet lingering butterscotch candy that literally sticks to your tongue.
O: Outstanding BBA BW. Reminiscent of a King Henry.

description per the website is that regular Triton is an English-American Barley wine hybrid (74 IBU's) and sits in at 11.5% ABV. BBA Triton is aged in Heaven Hill Barrels and clocks in around 14% ABV
8 oz pour
A: pours a deep caramel brown that is quite murky. it created about 1/2 fingers worth of head formation that was slightly tan in appearance with pretty nice lacing
S: huge sweet toffee/caramel notes with a blast of vanilla sweetness right up front. the bourbon and oak sit perfectly with this brew along with raisin and figs.
T: the balance is phenomenal. massive sweetness form the toffee and vanilla cut the alcohol out almost completely. there some maple lingering in the background too. again, bourbon oak is present but i must say that this isn't providing any heat of alcohol. the raisin and figs are still pretty evident as well.
M: solid medium bodied brew, and i wish it had a bit more viscosity. it does leave a nice sweetness on the palate.
O: simply a fantastic brew and it is insanely drinkable. Their website mention that it is a hybrid barleywine, but I really don't pick up on the American aspect of it. Even at 74 IBU's I fail to pick up on any hops. will definitely be going back to get more of this. I actually find this one quite similar to BB4D (even though its a different style).
Serving type: on-tap
