Had this one twice as of late. 1st time 22oz bottle of the 2010 version for GABF (thanks, Kan!) and the 2nd time on-tap at the source. I'm going to review the 2010 version, since I enjoyed it much more.
A - Pours a ruby red color, mirky, some bubbles here and there, thin collar, off-white head.
S - A mix of sweet malts, lactic sour, slight tart, caramel, and a smokey/roast note that really took me by surprise. Not overly sharp and a nice balance.
T - The smoke, roast, lactic sour, and malts work decently well together. I'm not totally in love with this take on an Oud Bruin, but it's not too bad. Some tart cherries in there as well mixed with some leather. The smokey notes are so odd with the style, but I kinda like it.
M - Medium, light carbonation, tart dry finish.
O - An odd take on the style, but it kinda works for me. The 2011 version I had on-tap was quite different to the bottle and less enjoyable.

a: murky brown with some reddish hues. three fingers of tan head slowly fall to a thin creamy cap. moderate lacing is left behind.
s: cherries and alochol.
t: bursting with more cherry flavor than you can wag your tongue at. a little acidic sourness but mostly tart cherries. alochol was also very present on the tongue.
m: carbonation was on the mark. the feel of the body seems to be right for the style. a little sticky. very warming from the alochol.
o: my only knock on this beer is the almost too harsh of a burn from the alochol, other than that I like it.

A - Poured a cloudy, burgundy color with a one-finger, off-white head of foam. It left some sudsy trails of lace.
S - It smelled of cherry and sour green apples.
T - Great sour flavor with black cherry and green apple flavors. There was a touch of caramel and not much else.
M - It was crisp with a puckering sharpness. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is a very good sour ale. I really enjoyed this ale.

On tap at the Great Taste 2010
Pours a tan head. Color is a murky brown. Not the most appealing sour.
Aroma/Taste: Sour cherries, funk, tartness. It has a bit of medicinal flavors. Light oak flavors. The funk is very bretty.
Mouthfeel: Tart and funky. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends with a medicinal flavor.
Overall, this was a decent sour, but I am beginning to release a lot of these sour browns/reds have a lot of similar flavors. They taste good, but they are becoming over populated. Decent drinkability.

Appears a hazy dark russet toned rusty crimson with a small, bubbly white cap that quickly fades into a tiny collar. Little speckles of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of cherries, vanilla, rhubarb, cream, and fruity hard candies.
Taste is of the aromas with a wonderful flavor of cherry pie and a small acidic addition found in the swallow.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, tart, mild CO2, puckering but balanced and addictive.
