A very decent porter great flavor not too chalky flavor which is mostly chocolate and coffee. Good solid mouthfeel can't say anything bad about it except the cover art is pretty basic almost passed it by even though I love this style.

on tap from my kegerator
poured into porter/stout glass
A - 1 finger medium/dark tan over a body of pitch black; excellent lacing; beautiful!
S - roast/burnt malts, rich coffee, notes of chocolate, brown sugar sweetness
T - dark chocolate, roast grains, black coffee, hops contribute an earthy bitterness
M - creamy medium body, moderate carbonation
O - a very good bitter porter; great selection for the kegerator!

12 oz can with, apparently, no date stamp.
Pours with an essentially black body with a good size tan head that has good retention.
The pleasant, well balanced aroma precedes a bold flavor with massive dark roasted grains. A modicum of smoke and burnt notes accompany the moderate bitterness.
Full bodied with medium-light carbonation and a satisfying smoothness.

This is one of those CANQuest (tm) moments that really leaves me scratching my head! I routinely stop in at Dominion Pizza on Columbia Avenue & they are always acCANmodating re. my requests. I was just casually browsing the six-pack cooler to see if there might be anything worth requesting as a single when I spied this gem! 8=O I have had O'so BC beers before, but only in Wisco, never in PA! When & how did this happen?!?
From the CAN: "Wisconsin Brewers Guild"; "Dark, Robust, and Chewy".
I Crack!ed open the vent & settled upon a slow, gentle C-Line Glug since I was winding down the day & the thought of dealing with a mess was anthemic. 8=p I was heartened as it quickly formed just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, deep-tan/light-brown head with excellent retention, leaving a load of sticky lacing in its wake. Color was Very Dark Brown to Black/Opaque (SRM = > 34, < 44) with NE-quality clarity & ruby highlights. Nose was redolent with Baker's chocolate & light smoke. I was put in mind of a slightly overbaked chocolate chip cookie. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but with a density not usually found in the style. The taste was VERY chocolaty, but not sweet in any way, shape or form. It was quite smoky & semi-sweet in the bargain. It also had a slight breadiness & I was reminded of the Eggo chocolate chip waffle that I ate for breakfast this morning! Yum. I ate it while drinking a cup of coffee & while this did not come up to the flavor or bitterness of coffee, it was quite evocative of today's breakfast. I'm not even sure that I would have enjoyed it as much if it had been as bitter as coffee. This struck a nice balance, as if the brewers knew when enough was enough & when to quit while they were ahead. I would characterize the finish as dry, but if you were to argue for semi-dry, I would not put up much of a fight. My goodness, but this was good! YMMV.

Smokey, creamy goodness! On tap at Industry Public House in Robinson. Per brewers description, yes, this is VERY smooth! I really like this one. Being a nitro really adds to the creaminess!

S: Roastyness,
T: Roasty, dry, Baker's Chocolate & a touch of hazelnut up front. Coffee, roastyness, a touch of woody hops & a little nuttyness as this warms. finishes dry, roasty with solid coffee flavor
MF: A little chewy, silky carbonation
Pretty darn good Porter, pleasantly suprised

Nitro tap
Pours mostly opaque black, creamy tan head retains well.
Aroma of pecan, brown sugar and biscuit.
Flavor is of walnuts, pecans, hazelnut, biscuit, brown sugar, and dry hops.
Medium body, very smooth and creamy.
Decent porter, good flavor. The nitro makes the body really nice. Would have this again probably.

Pours a beautiful opaque coffee color from a refrigerated can with a large persistent head. As the foam settles it filters through the beer with a nitro appearance. Aroma is mild to this recovering COVID patient, although the temperature may be a factor as well.
Flavor is nuts and toast, leaving behind a bitter coating on the palate. Medium bodied. IMO the best standard offering from O'so.
