Appearance is dark copper with a finger of head that dissipated quickly. Tart nose and definite malt upfront in the flavor. Smoke is present, but subtle; in fact, this offering seemed to get less smokey as it went along. The dry finish provided a nice ending

This is a really nicely balanced Rauch in my opinion. The beer poured out as a brown color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer does have a good amount of smoke on the nose but also had a nice roasted malt aroma too. The taste was nicely done, the smoke doesn't come through until the aftertaste. The flavor transitions fairly well I think. The mouthfeel was a little thin but had a decent drinkablity. Overall not a bad Rauchbier.
