Poured from a can into a nonic pint.

A - Pours a clear copper color with a one finger off white head with decent retention. Leaves sticky ringlets of lacing all around the glass.

S - Strong aroma of piney, resinous hops and..is that toffee I smell? Smells pretty inviting.

T - Complete hop bomb of the spruce variety. Pine, fresh cut dandelions, mint, and grapefruit peel dominate the flavor profile. Not really "lush" or "juicy", as the alpha acids bring forth a tongue peeling bitterness without much citrus sweetness. Malts very subdued compared to what was indicated in the nose. Not very well balanced.

M - Medium bodied, and slightly under carbonated. Could use a little more body. Finishes dryer than the Sahara desert.

O - A decent attempt, but ultimately too flawed to be considered "good". The lack of either fruit or malt sweetness to bring balance was a big problem for me. A sub-standard IPA, and not a rebuy for me.

Got this in a trade with swingracex. 12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours lightly hazy deep orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy cream colored head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, floral, pine, caramel, and light floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of hop and malt notes; with decent strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, floral, pine, caramel, light biscuit, and floral earthiness. Moderate amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, pine, caramel, light bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance of bright hops with moderate malt; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good IPA. Nice complexity of hop flavors with well balance malt; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a very impressive head; great stickage and a modest amount of lacing

Smell: Caramel malt (almost butterscotch) with piney hops battling to make the presence noted

Taste: Malts dominate the front end, with the caramel forward and the piney/earthy hops adding a bitter dimension in the middle; the bitterness continues, after the swallow, though the finish leaves a little butterscotch in the impresssion; tobacco in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation; surprisingly creamy, as if there is oat in the grist

Taste: Very much a malt forward beer, almost like a hoppy amber; as some others have noted, there is a touch of diacetyl that gives the beer a butterscotch tone; not a terrible flaw but certainly noticeable

Nice head in the Duvel tulip, a lovely orangey amber color. Lacing seems to be nonexistent, but plenty of spritz in the mouthfeel. Floral and savory scent. Starts out with a nice malty richness. Warm and tangy with plenty of malt, but more about the sharp hoppy blast. Nice resiny aroma. Pine and mango, burnt biscuits and apple.

A more interesting and drinkable IPA than many. I have never had a beer that tasted and smelled so much like pot to me. From the 12 oz can bought at AJ's Fine Foods in Chandler.

Pours a beautiful burnished copper; great froth that elevates and holds and holds. I like the color: Dried orange peel, and aromas of grapefruit and pine. All-American IPA and proud of it. Heaps of malty goodness to come are spoonfed up my nose, and a fare amount of diacetyl?! Oops. Not appropriate here, but I don't mind a little...?
Nice plump malt; malty malt, or, i can say cookie dough with butterscotch chips. Grapefruit and pine, indeed, and "thank you for balancing this out." We'll, it's balanced and actually finishes on the dry side. Too bad about the diacetyl, but it's not spoiled; still a good beer in there.

Received this can as an extra from Jeremy6566, poured into my Deschutes tulip glass...

A - Pours a clear deep ruby/mahogany color with 3 fingers of nice, dense off-white head. Lots of lacing left behind.

S - Has some nice citrus notes of pineapple, mangos and papays with a caramel malt backbone.

T/M - A nice hop bite greets me upon the first sip. It coats my tongue, then evolves into a nice caramel malt middle, and finishes with a pleasant lemon zest type hop finish. I really enjoy how the flavors come together on this one. Medium/creamy mouthfeel, and maybe a touch under carbonated for me.

O - I usually find myself left wanting more with IPAs, but this one didn't. It has a great hop profile without being too aggressive. Just when you think the hops are going to fry your taste buds, the carmel mlats comes in and mellows stuff out, but finishes with a citrus hop punch. Thanks again Jeremy for this can!

This poured out as a copper color with a white head on top. The head retention is good but has a thin lacing. The smell of the beer is average, there is a decent malt aroma and a bit of earthy hops as well. The taste of the beer has a caramel sweetness up front with a piney earthy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel of the bee is medium bodied with a slightly high amount of carbonation. Overall this beer is decent, not the best IPA but was nice to try.

Poured a copper amber color with a medium sized light tan head that slowly settles into a nice lacing.

Caramel malts balanced with citrus and floral hops in the aroma of this IPA.

A pretty decent citrus to floral hops taste with a slight soapiness sneaking in there to undermine a really good hops presence.

The slight soapiness of the taste is magnified in the aftertaste and begins to undermine an otherwise pretty good hops taste on this medium bodied beer.

The initial aroma and taste of this beer was quite impressive but there seemed to be a slight soapiness for lack of a better way to describe it took the greatness out of this beer.
