On tap at the brewery. Served in a taster.
Appearance - Hazy orange. Small head. Minimal lacing.
Smell - Great citrus hop aroma. Aggressive hop bomb aroma. Just a bit of malt.
Taste - Aggressive hop flavor up front. Citrusy. Simple. But nice. Grain in the middle, but it's weak by comparison. The hop flavor builds and gets very strong in the finish. Bitter and extremely hoppy in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Way too hoppy in the finish. Not necessarily over bitter, but the hop flavor gets very sharp.
Overall - Great up front but too strong in the back. I seldom wish a beer to be better balanced, but I wish this were.

From the 12 oz can dated 2/14/23
Pours a clear gold with one finger’s white variegated head. Spotty lacing, surface continents and partial ring. No floaties or sediment.
Pine, grapefruit, peppery scents.
Grapefruit, peppers, minneola peel, biscuit flavors.
Zingy hop mouthfeel, bitter fruit aftertaste, good carbonation .
Refreshing and drinkable, but with nice depth of flavor.

I like this beer better than most Pale Ales that I have consumed. Perfect malt/hop balance; smooth and superb aftertaste. From a can given to me by best friends.

Exceptional beer. Not too high in alcohol but still lots of good taste. Easily the best IPA made in South Carolina.

Golden-yellow, slightly hazy color topped by a 1/2 inch white head, receding fairly quickly, leaving rows and strings of lacing.
Moderate and mild citrus and tropical fruit aroma.
Substatial body, smooth, especially for the style, soft.
Fresh, crisp citrus hops flavor, with tropical fruits - pineapple and other tropical flavors - in the mix. Solid malts provide a very good balance, contributing caramel and bread. Mildly bitter in the middle and finish. Very tasty, and complex enough to be interesting. The mild bitterness, along with the tropical flavors, linger into the aftertaste.
Overall, an very tasty, enjoyable APA. Well done.
