Notes:
We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

A: Deep black, light, creamy head
S: Rich roasted barley, cocoa, a bit sweet
T: Strong burnt barley, a small hint of hops, minimal cocoa. The taste seems to last awhile with very pleasant roasted barley hints.
M: Not quite as smooth as some stouts, has the right amount of carbonation though.

16 oz can poured into a Tallgrass tulip.
5% ABV, 1.057 O.G., 20 IBUs, Drink By 08/24/13

A - Buffalo Sweat is colored a dark charcoal brown in the tulip but pours a clear mahogany color. The beer's loose mocha head disappears rather quickly though, sinking into the beer with little lace adorning the glass.

S - With a hefty snort, Buffalo Sweat's robust aroma bursts into the air. Roasted malt offers nuances of cocoa and finely ground coffee while lactose sugar counters, adding a milk chocolate feel that balances nicely. Earthy undertones of dirt and bark finish out the aroma.

T - Like the aroma, Buffalo Sweat's flavor is all about balance and it's pulled off in a very similar manner, though this time, the sweetness comes first. Lactose sugar, malty sweetness, and oatmeal upfront are met with the roasted characteristics of cocoa and coffee on the back end for a teetering balancing act.

M - The same balancing act in flavor is integral to the feel of this ever-changing beer. Thanks to both the lactose and oatmeal Buffalo Sweat is very smooth and seductive at first, introducing itself with minor sweetness and a velvety feel before evolving into a mildly acrid bitter finish from the roast. This medium-bodied beer is quite drinkable indeed.

O - Buffalo Sweat may seem menacing based on it's can's artwork and black appearance but this lower-in-alcohol stout is full-flavored and robust, delicately balancing between it's smooth seductive side and it's aggressive roasted qualities. Try and tell me you could put a few of these delicious brews back.

Buffalo Sweat is a delicious cream stout with a mild profile, smooth feel, and balanced profile. The flavor is a mild roasted grain stout flavor which is deservingly overshadowed by the creamy texture and smooth quality of the beer. Many "cream" beers are just a little "wetter" tasting than their non-cream counterparts but this one definitely has a genuine cream feel. A well crafted and easy to drink beer.

Buffalo Sweat pours a black color with a small lacing head. Their is a very creamy malty, slightly smokey and sweet aroma. The taste is very creamy and rich. Just hints of coffee and cream, and there is a subtle sweetness to it. Very nice full flavors, nicely carbonated. Overall a fantastic milk/sweet stout, very well built together.

A-Pours a light black color that is permeable at the bottom of my glass. Thin, brownish/white head that retains fairly well and coats the whole glass as I sip and cascades quickly down leaving a little lacing

S-Milk chocolate, dry bakers chocolate. Nothing too sweet. Maybe lightly syruped chocolate 1% milk.

T & MF-Hint of coffee comes in the front of the palate as it fades into a semi-bitter sweet chocolate finish. Nothing complex, but I like it all right. Mouthfeel is crisp with a dry finish. I feel like I could drink 12 of them they are so light. Maybe a bit too carbonated, but it's still pleasurable

O-A pretty good milk stout. I personally liked Left Hand's better, as this one lacks complexity and is a bit too dry but I still enjoyed it

Consumed from Spiegelau snifter. Aroma is unexpectedly organic almost sugarbeets and cut grass dominating. Taste is pleasant but a bit hollow like something is missing. Almost feels watered down. More sweet than bitter. Thin mouthfeel. Easy to drink but overall bland and average for style.
