Pours red, ambery colour light lace. Head is bubbly but pillowy, beige colour. Overall a little thin, looks good but heavy.
Smells fresh and inviting. Sweet, vanilla-tinged aromatic malt with light citric notes - orange, mandarin and some stonefruit. Lychee even. Very pleasant indeed.
Taste is tangy, but a bit too earthy and gravelly. Sweet toffee malt with touches of citrus, pine needle and apricot, but also a bit of banana bread, pumpernickel and balsamic vinegar, none of which I really want. Overall pleasant, but a bit heavy in places and a little confusing in others.
Lingers a bit too long on the bitterness, but decent texture otherwise, for something as big as this.
Bit too heavy in places. Lots of potential, but a bit overblown. Sadly feels inevitable once you get this big.

Pours a deep orange hue with a creamy two finger head and clingy lacing here and there, the smell is candy canes, cane sugar, candy, candied citrus and sherbet, the mouthfeel is full bodied with moderate carbonation and has tastes of sweet caramel, candy canes, candied citrus, lollies, pineapple, boozy alcohol and finished with a fruit punch hop bitterness and overall its nice and borderlines on a being a Barleywine but the Hop profile reminds you what your drinking and hides the ABV quite well and id definately buy this again cheers.

This poured out as a beautiful looking orange color with a thin white head on top. The lacing is scattered and the retention is minimal. The smell of this beer reminds me of Sink the Bismark, it's super piney with a bunch of ethanol fumes coming off of it. The taste of the beer again very similar to Sink the Bismark but much more drinkable, it's just an absolute hop bomb. The mouthfeel is boozy, lightly carbonated and oily, it's smooth but it's a sipper for sure. Overall it's Sink the Bismark Lite in my opinion. A damn good hoppy as hell beer though. Worth a try.

Bottle purchased directly from the brewery as part of a bulk BrewDog order with other Sydney beer aficionados. Shared with @LaitueGonflable.
Pours a burnished red-amber hue, with a frothy and relatively stable head of very mildly off-white. Lacing is speckled but very decent. Body is thick and solid and holds very nice fine carbonation. It looks bold, heavy and deep: all good things.
Nose is C-heavy: huge crisp and sharp fragrant citrus aromas pretty much leave no room for anything else. Very fresh and very pungent, but it's extremely one note. Fortunately, it's a note that is exceptionally good, but still, I'd love a bit more complexity.
Taste is similar, although the body is thick enough to provide a serious basis here, and leaves a bit of caramel and toffee. But still the main event is that pungent, fragrant and biting citrus character. There's a hint of medicine on the end: perhaps the ABV just can't stay hidden for so long. It gives it a slight cherry note on the finish, which adds up to an odd candy character all up. Feel is smooth and fluid.
This is certainly good. Is it better than "good", though? That's the question I've been trying to resolve. I love the directness of the hops: it's intense while still being familiar and lovable. And yet, there's perhaps not a great deal more to it than that. That's the conundrum of this beer. On another day, this might have gotten 5's across the board. And another it might be worse.

Amber in color with a white head. Not shockingly, the nose is super sweet. Heavy on the caramel and brown sugar. It does at least have some citrus character to it. A touch of booze on the nose and a little bit of sweet fruit. The flavor is quite sweet as well. Caramel, brown sugar, and toffee. A little bit of booze, some light oxidation, and candied citrus and fruits. Could use some bitterness.

330ml bottle bought from Gapwines, Belfast
Poured a slightly hazy golden amber colour. Slightly off white head poured fairly thick and foamy with a whipped meringue like top then faded slowly to a good one finger covering which lasted throughout... lots of sticky lacing patches coat the glass all the way down...
Aroma - Spicy tart fruits (oranges (peel?), pears, lime), caramel malts, very grassy (freshly cut), lots of floral notes, sea saltiness, quite rubbery, chalky notes, some soapiness, very strong peppery and piney resiny hop bitterness, alcohol noticable, very herbal - some hints of basil, some tobacco notes, some graininess...
Taste - Lots of quite harsh grassy and peppery hop bitterness up front followed by lots of herbal notes and lots of rich malts, some grainy sweetness, metallic notes, light marzipan traces, tropical fruits (grapefruit, lime, pear, mango), some alcohol warmth just coming through, faint tobacco...
Feel - Pretty rich and oily... full bodied... the 14% soons makes itself known
Overall - An ok brew... a bit harsh and rough around the edges but probably worth a try
