Notes:
This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

From a 330 ml brown bottle. Massive POP as the cap is removed. Pours out absolute pitch black, dense creamy tan head.

Intense sweet and boozy aroma, molasses and treacle, licorice, cherry skins, mild roasted malt, mild black coffee.

Sweet and boozy flavour, cherry and grape skins, molasses, dry herbal in the middle from the juniper berry, tart and sweet berry blending with cafe au lait on the finish. Mild alcohol warmth is present yet not intrusive.

Light-bodied mouthfeel, silky smooth and nearly slick, no carbonation.

Smooth for the abv%, although not as complex as the hype and description makes it out to be. An okay DRIS that masks the abv% for the most part, yet lacks the depth of many regular RIS's at half the strength and extra ingredients.

This really isn't my usual type of beer. BUT here goes. Pours dark and has a slight purplish tint.

Thin head with a tan tint that sticks around after a few sips.

After the first sip, I was tempted to pour it. It was sour and confusing. Honestly, it reminds me of a thinner blackberry brandy. It packs a wallop that I haven't had before though and it brings me to a limit I haven't reached nor had.

If I ever happen to come across it again in my travels, I will more than likely pick it up.

Bottle shared at GRG1313’s tasting.

Best before 12/14/19.

Pours a clear super dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, maple, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and maple flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some solid aromas and tasty flavors.
