Dark forces are at work in this devilishly good Praline Porter. Toffee and chocolate unite and come a-knocking. Open up to layers of smooth roastycharacter, with notes of vanilla, mellow coffee and a subtle nuttiness. And a bitter sweet cliffhanger finale.

Zombie Cake – grab a slice.

L- Similar but pehaps a touch darker than cola. Pours clear with a 2mm fine-bubble off-white foam cap.
S- Prominent coffee and cocoa.
T- Coffee and cocoa here too, loud, clear and dominant. Then a facet of smoke into the finish, together with some moderate bitter hops.
F- Mercifully, despite it's name, it isn't sweet, really not at all, I loath 'sweet' beer. I really don't think it's 'rich' either. That said it's hard to be rich at 5% without containing a heap of sugar.
O- Well... it's pungent and makes something of a statement about what can be done with coffee/cocoa notes. It's quite drinkable and I'll happily finish it, just TBH it's so off-piste that it doesn't much resemble beer to me. Interesting and fun to try, but now I have no reason to buy it again.
Bought from a Tesco in London. GBP2 for a 330ml bottle. BB: 07/01/21.
Now I read the ingredients, they include: 'lactose, demerara sugar, vanilla, honey.'

11th review. Enjoyed on tap in flight at BrewDog Marais, Paris, a great pub. Order the cheese plate please!
As flavorful as their 8 and 13% Stouts, so why not consume a 5.5% Porter? Great with the cheese, great food beer.
a) As dark, as tan and lacey a head.
s / t ) Slightly less than the powerful flavors, which are chocolate, baking drawer, sawdust, soda shop riding on a woody, smokey core.
f) Not too filling, good food beer. Sweet but cleans up nicely.

330ml bottle. Pours a plush off-white foam with irregular bubbles. The foam dissipates after about 10 minutes in the glass.

Smell is weaker than I was hoping for. Roasted malts, and faint notes of chocolate, coffee and cream linger in the background, not in a prominent way.

However, the taste is very good. Roasted coffee hits first, then the malts, rounded off with a sweet nutty finish.

The feel is quite rich, swirling the beer reveals there is viscosity. Finishes quite dry.

Overall, a solidly good porter, whose weakest point is the nose. Drinking one, however, is quite easy.

De Corte Ingles. Jugando a Blasphemous, y luego a Whispers of a Machine. Se ve que en el lado oscuro brewdog aun no ha caido tan bajo como en el claro. Tiene ricas notas pastelosas, con sobre todo vainilla, y un buen cuerpo para su bajo abv

16 ounce can, canned on 09/17/19, BrewDog USA brewed version. Thanks to my friend Denis for this one! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention is good and there's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cocoa, nuts, roasted malt, toffee and some coffee. Similar to the aroma, there's cocoa, nutty, toffee, dark fruit, coffee, toasted malt and brown sugar flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Drinks easy enough. I liked this porter, I wouldn't mind drinking more of this soon!

An ok / drinkable porter. A touch on the thin side with flavours that aren't as pronounced as the description would have you believe. This could do with being beefed up a little to around the 6% mark, be more full bodied and have more praline chocolate flavour and aroma. All in all, it was an ok beer but nothing special. Would I buy it again? No. Would I drink it if someone handed me a bottle? Yes.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a thick, tight frothy head.
Aroma of dark fruits and chocolate almost like rum and raisin ice cream. Somewhat nutty with hints of vanilla.
Tastes like a sweet interpretation of its aroma.
Medium body. Thinner than expected.
Pretty tasty.
