330ml Bottle from Brewdog online shop (£4.00):
This one turned out to be an okay Brewdog offering, it wasn't quite as good as the original & I certainly wouldn't class it as an IPA or even a rye beer but it was enjoyable enough for what it was. Falling somewhere between an American strong ale & a barley wine, the beer had a lot of toffee & caramel flavours that gave it quite a sweet, complex taste that was backed up by a combination of dark fruits that made the beer a pleasant one to sip away at but I doubt it's one that I'd go back to again.

Bottle pour into tulip.
For the record, I am generally not a massive fan of Brewdog; I find their marketing and image to be obnoxious and elitist and their beers all to often fail to live up to the hype. I was therefore quite prepared to dislike this. Happy to say I was very pleasantly surprised. This was a really well balanced beer; the barrel aging contributed a subtle softness rather than the overwhelming sweetness that I was expecting. This might actually encourage me to try some of Brewdog's other non-core offerings. Cheers!

So much vanilla, too much maybe. Alcohol obscenely well-hidden, another well-crafted brew dog creation. Perfectly carbonated and proper whiskey taste to go with the red, Rye of the original, which I ultimately prefer.

Chestnut with white film. 3.75
Giant whack of vanilla that buries the hops. 3.75
Caramel, butterscotch, huge vanilla, a tiny bit of rye spice, then vague orange as it opens. 4.25
Medium, chewy, round. 4
Superb bourbon vanilla thing that completely buries the base beer. Ends up edging towards an English barleywine. It's a paradox: hugely enjoying it, but it's definitely not ASA. 4
