Pours a clear dark ruby brown with no head. Nose is malty and sweet. Overall subdued. Flavor is just a touch of wood with a fair portion of sweet and a metallic aftertaste. Feel is low on the bubble, but a decent thicker liquid feel. I have to say that this one falls a bit short. I know Southampton puts out some good stuff, but this isn't really one of them.

Stopped by the publick house for a bite and to pick up some IRS bottles. Ordered a flight with bratwurst. Brew arrivedin a few ounce sample pour. Copper color. Fairly malt forward with a soft hop. German crystalized malts. Nice easy drinker nothing mind blowing. Good altbier.
