22 oz bottle into a couple of tulip glasses.
Pours a clear dark ruby, with a finger of light tan colored head. This retains with a nice frothy and almost bubbly look to it, which leaves back some heavy foamy lacing. The aroma is very herbal, earthy, and spicy smelling, which mixes with a good bit of overripe citric fruit and some bready malt character to impart a deep dank tanginess in the nose.
The taste is dry, bitter, and spicy, with a leafy dankness and to it, as well as some juicy fruitiness underneath. Malts balance this somewhat with some sweetness across the back of the profile but the hops are what linger, with a finish that is quite dank and spicy. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a nice crisp creaminess that is slick and easy feeling in spots. Alcohol is held to a minimum, as the flavors here are more than enough to mask things.
This was definitely a Fresh Hop Ale on the other end of the spectrum, with a fresh earthy dankness that some may not find to their liking but I personally didn't mind at all. This was fairly bitter at first but once things warmed up, the balance and overall drinkilbility of this strengthened quite a bit. Not a bad fall offering here at all.

Nice pop then nothing. Interesting but not not unique or memorable.
