Poured from the bottle into a tasting snifter.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden amber color with a layer of off white head. The head fades to a ring around the pour.
Smell: Herbal and light with a mild citrus note. The finish is just a bit sweet and bready.
Taste: This is a very herbal saison. There is a mild rye spice throughout the sip. The overall flavor is fairly mild and just a little bit sweet. The finish contains the rye and is quite herbal.
Mouthfeel: The body is medium with a lot of tingly carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: This was a light and easy to drink saison. I tend to prefer my saisons to have more fruit notes, but this one was good enough.

Shared by argo0 last night. Thanks Aaron.
The beer is orange with a small white head. The aroma offers citrus with dank hops and some malt. A bit sharp on the palate. Hoppy and bitter with forward alcohol. Oranges soaked in booze. This was pretty good.

Pours a huge honkin head, fizzy and airy that fades with large popping bubbles at a med pace with lots of spotty lacing, fairly clear slight hazy straw colored beer.
Nose is fragrant, typical grainy straw malt aromas, little wheat, husk, light wet hay like, not really farmhouse funk but dank like straw from a farm, light citrus zest, a juicy tangerine juice underneath, and light grassy hops. Some farmhouse like funk does come out as it warms, and hint of saison like spices and a touch of spicy rye.
Taste starts with a spicy rye, light funky saison and farmhouse funk, saison spices, citrus zest with more of the tangerine juice underneath, etc. Malts bring more cracked straw, wet hay, farmhouse earthy malt and wheat flavors, chewy dried grass, etc. Farmhouse is lighter but there. Light bitter spicy hops kick in, little floral and grassy too. Finish is drier bit slightly sticky, nice spicy hop bitterness, grassy straw and light farmhouse funk as well as spicy rye lingering.
Mouth is med to lighter bodied, decent carb.
Overall surprised, decent saison with nice malts, wheat like, farmhouse although not very funky, hops play in nicely. Wish it was slightly drier abs more carb. Rye is a great touch too. This is actually a pretty good beer, esp for Ipswich. They've really seemed to have taken a corner and are making some great beers in the last few years (also some bad ones).

Got half a case of this at the release party yesterday in Ipswich. These are great events to meet brewers and I highly recommend going to as many of them as you can if you love beer.
A - Poured into a tulip. Nice golden orange color. Good high head rather quickly that falls to a thin layer that covers about half the surface area of the beer.
S - Lots of good spice notes. Can't tell too much if it's from the rye (local rye!!!) or from the saison yeast or from the spices that are used in the brewing process, but its nice and spicy that way.
T - Spices are forefront on the tongue and leave a nice lingering memory of each sip. The hops are more pronounced in the taste than the nose, which is a nice surprise.
M - Spicy mouthfeel. You know this one is in your mouth when you drink it. Not a lot of alcohol is present, but you start to feel it toward the end of the first glass (bomber gives you two pours!). That being said, it is pretty smooth and not at all heavy. Nice for the hot days of the summer and, I assume, for the changing weather come the fall.
O - Didn't totally blow me away, but it was still a really, really solid effort. This is right up my ally.
