(A) Rusty and Amber in color with an unfiltered or cloudy appearance. Not muddy. Average head with good lacing
(S) Very floral in aroma most likely due to dry hopping. A great inviting fragrance.
(T) Hoppy bitterness without a doubt. I'm a hop-head so I enjoyed it; however, I was a bit surprised to find this in something referred to as a harvest ale. I was expecting it to be on the sweeter maliter side.
(M) Hoppy on the mouth with a rough feeling. Characteristic of an IPA.
(D) Excellent. I was able to get past two imperial pints and make it up to four, so it was definately drinkable. Note that I had this from a gravity keg though.
Overall, an excellent beer if you like IPAs.

Poured from a bottle into a tumbler pint, the beer is a dark, slightly hazed, brown-copper coloring with unfiltered particulates suspended throughout. A white, sparse film coats the surface and forms a ring around the surface. Aromas of subtle sweet caramel and a grainy overtone, with a slight roasting to it. Really had to sniff around a bit to find much of anything. Flavors are rich and roasted, with some pumpkin and a lot of spicing. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and all-spice throughout the rich, sweet flavors. Roasty and warming despite the lower ABV. Flavors get a bit cloying towards the end, but not overpowering. Grain profiles come through fairly strong towards the end of the palate. Some hops present in the aftertaste, providing a bitter and resiny touch. Muddled flavors towards the end of the palate, with a caramel sweet and grainy aftertaste. Sweet, slightly cloying finish, with the hops being overpowered. Interesting flavors, and strong for the style, but it just misses in a couple of different spots. Not bad, though.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Sam Adams pint glass
A- deep orange, slightly hazy body. Nice 2" frothy head that reduces to chunks of white foam. Inviting
S- nice citrusy hops, slight cinnamon, caramel
T- bitter hoppy backbone and light malty finish.
M- medium carbonation, medium body.
Overall, a different type of autumn brew, borders on a Pale ale. Somewhat simple but worth a try. Highly drinkable

Picked up a bomber of this. Glad I did. Poured from bomber into mug.
A: Pours a hazy burnt orange with a 1 finger creamy thick foamed head that leaves some lacing and dissipates to a film.
S: A nice roasty and sweet nose. You can smell the toasted malts and caramel/molasses sweetness all mixed in with some citrus/pine hints.
T: The toasted malts and sugary sweetness are evident. There is also a nice showing for the bitter hop/pine character.
M: Good coating and aftertaste. The body is a little off for a harvest, but I believe the mixed tastes and aromas you get are worth the tradeoff.

Cloudy rust and bronze color.Quick head and minimal foam. I can see maybe a bubble or two of carbonation, but that doesn't mean its not there.
Hops dominate the nose, but yeast adds an interesting mix of ripened fruit to the bitter citrus skin. Then add to that some toasted biscuit smelling malt, and you have a great, bitter, smelling beer. Makes me think of a yeasty AIPA.
Very powdery yeast and malt combo of powdered bananas and apples mixed with bread crust, biscuits, and citric hops. This is a complex amber ale. I like the fact that its unfiltered, so the yeast really add its own depth of flavor and palate to this bitter brew.

A - Pours a cloudy nut brown with a foamy two finger head. Beautiful lacing along the sides.
S - Heavy pine from the hops, smells bitter. Light citrus in the background.
T - Follows the nose, very deep pine and bitterness. Some caramel trying to push its way through. Not overly complex.
M - Medium body and carbonation.
O - This drinks just like an IPA, so expect this when you purchase it. Good bitterness, just not what I was looking for in an autumn ale. More malt characteristic would serve it well.

Poured out an extremely hazy redwood/orange with less than a finger of head but it was a creamy thick foam that leaves a layer across the top the whole pint. Nose has a large citrus and resiny oil character. More of the piney resin than citrus. Some booze is present along with some grainy caramel malts. Rich toasty caramel flavor along with an asertive earthy hop character. That resin oil carries over from the nose especially in the finish. The booze from the nose isn't present in the flavor and with the rich, smooth body this beer can go down quick. A large hop character for a Harvest beer. I know harvest isn't a style and this is anAmber/Red but I was surprised by the big hops. Overall I enjoyed this beer more than most of the Ipswich products.

Thanks to my buddy Mike for brining over a bottle today. This beer reminds me of the old Pete’s Wicked Ale…
Good looking beer. Fluffy 3 finger head that shows excellent retention. Clinging spider web lacing everywhere. Brown Amber in color with excellent clarity.
Aroma is of toasted malt and some fruit. I got grape at times. A toasty sweetness which was nice.
A more assertive hop presence than I was expecting. Toasted malt again, rules the day, but this nice fruity base comes in right after. Some pine and black pepper.
A touch slick in your mouth, mildly carbonated. The spice prickles more than the carbonation.
A decent little beer. I wouldn’t chase it, but it’s not a bad little pint to have.
Glad I tried it.

A - Pours a light brown with a fluffy 1 cm head and leaves some nice lacing
S - Aroma is strongly of citrus, I had to check the bottle to be certain this wasn't an IPA. By the name assumed it was an Octoberfest type. Color me suprised
T - Bitter piney hops right up front, some lemony bitterness also comes into play here. There is a tiny bit of caramel sweetness in the finish, trying to balance things out.
M - Pretty clean mouthfeel, almost creamy.
O - I was suprised by this beer, way hoppier than I was expecting. The hops character was suprising.

Poured into Sam style beer glass.
A: Beautiful. Deep Brown Color, Like brown leather. Huge huge head thats just offwhite and stays with the beer for a while. Leaves as much lacing as any other brew I can recall. Literally a wall of lacing. Slightly hazy but not as much as an unfiltered brew.
S: Definitely some piney/floral hops, some yeast/bread crust malty goodness.
Taste: So balanced, so so balanced. Good mix of floral hops and toasted bread/coffee/chocolate malts. Malt profile of beer is more winter/porter but its got a whole lot of bitterness as well. Slightly dry. None of those over-used pumkinhead style spices that overpower a lot of fall beers.
M: Quite carbonated, got nice creaminess to it. At the same time its quite light and easy to drink quickly.
O: Fantastic Brew. I consider it an IPA or atleast a PA. One of my favorites that I will pick up every year as long as I live in mass. A must try for IPA lovers. My favorite fall beer (Pumking is 2nd). Reminds me of SN Celebration in that its an IPA for the cold seasons. This could be a desert island beer.

A-Pours a darker amber color. The liquid is transparent. Off-white head is large and not overly compact. Leaves a bunch of random lacing. Head retains well.
S-A bunch of citrus, pine, floral hops. Sturdy and rich malt background complements the hops. Well balanced between malt and hop. Enjoyable nose. I love hoppy Amber Ales and am excited to sip this.
T-Floral and grassy hops mostly. A pretty decent amount of bitterness too. Caramel malt and even a tad bit of chocolate aid the hops. Grains, and some bread too. The hops are fresh, bitter, and delectable.
M-Light enough to put back several of these. Bitter and dry. Softer carbonation. Nice feel.
O/D-Ipswich never fails me. I have been waiting for the Harvest to come out, and I really dig it. Love the style, and I love this take on the style (which is pretty broad). 12 pack for around $13.50. I will take this all season. Could this be my favorite Ipswich brew?

Appears natural hazed brown amber with 2 finger off white fluffy head.
Big, citrusy fruity hops are released on the pour. Smells great. Dark malts are veiled beneath this.
Nice citrusy hops is paired with some semi sweet dark malts that meld together for a very tasty beer.
Mouthfeel is smooth and drinkable, light medium body.
I put this in a mix a six not thinking much about it, but it turns out it's a wicked good beer, nice and hopped up.
