Had a chance to taste at the TAP NY. I was blown away the moderate smoke balanced well with the tradition Hefewiezen banana and clove to make a awesome beer.

A - Hazy Light gold, looked like a hefe.

S - It was all there the banana and clove, some smoke all mixed together in a complex and unique way.

T - Great! The traditional banana and clove of a German hefe mixed well with the smoked malt and resulted in a much cleaner finish. The smoke flavor is very subdued, the moderating effect on the overall beer is what I liked.

M - What you would expect from a quality hefe

Drinkability - I could drink it all day

A- Hazy yellow color, cloudy, thin head that faded quickly to a thin ring

S- Bananas, cloves, herbal, citrusy, hint of smoke

T- Smokey, oranges, bananas, cloves, ginger, creamy

M- Medium body, low/medium carbonation, smooth, crisp, complex

D- Worth trying

This beer reminds me of drinking a good Hefe around a campfire in the summertime. The smokiness is really present in the flavor.
